- Here you go: a comprehensive guide on tips and strategies for defeating sans in Undertale! If you, like many, have struggled with the final showdown against sans, this video aims to teach you some of the finer details to mastering his many attacks.

If you "act" then click "check" on "Sans," it'll say Sans' stats then it'll say "just keeping attacking. He can't dodge forever." And I like to think that if sans checked us, it'd say "just keep dodging. They can't attack forever."

I haven't seen anyone else mention this so I thought I would. So, I realized that Sans is using what Papyrus wrote about his spaghetti : "You'll be so busy eating it, you won't realize that you aren't progressing". Whenever we heal ourselves with items, we waste a turn by not attacking and, thus, not progressing the battle. Sorry, if this was obvious to some of you. I thought it was a cool little detail :)

Pro tip: this is actually really helpful I kept dying on his spinning gaster blasters so I decided to use a sea tea to speed me up during that attack and as soon as I replaced a legendary hero with it I instantly won against sans so use a sea tea when he says “my special attack, sound familiar, well after the next move I am going to use it

a tip for switch players, you have a joystick and directional buttons, use them. For attacks where you have to move your soul more freely use the stick and for attacks with small controlled jumps use controlled button presses, that way you won't drift into the bones. And never ever use a drifting joycon ;)

4:23 since the heart moves faster, you can hold B on the Switch to go slower (you will need to keep holding it or else it won't work.) I don't know if this works on computer or the others though, but y'know, there's bound to be someone able to try this out.

I actually for the first time started playing this since I finally could use the unused laptop from my parents. I've been struggling fighting sans after I played Pacifist Timeline for three days straight. (This is my third day). When I first tried a genocide run a few years ago I died to the last gaster blasters. I quit and did another pacifist run. I recently thought I wanted to play this game again and am now fighting sans again, but I really suck. If you're struggling with sans final attack, use a Sea Tea that thing helped me a LOT. I had like 30 hp for the final attack but I already drank the Sea Tea before. The gaster blaster spin, ez.

Hearing that tip made me think I had Sans in the bag because that's his toughest attack for me....I got to it and died very quickly
well the system is the problem, if you're on a weak pc, or laptop, there is a high chance you can only press *_3_* arrows at once, so the trick does not work, but you could bind wasd to move in undertale, on any computer it will work with wasd.

my friend started genocide on my switch
and i was like "why not finish it for her?" so i did the remaining monsters in waterfall + undyne (undyne took 28 tries)
when i got to hotland i was extremely nervous and guilty for killing the monsters in the game. i knew the sans battle was hard despite never doing genocide until now.
after killing mettaton in one hit and scaring flowey, i arrived at the judgment hall and OH MY GOD I HAVE NEVER HAD SO MUCH RESPECT FOR A FICTIONAL SKELETON MAN EVER IN MY LIFE

Use the cloudy glasses with the torn notebook. It dose help with damage. You could even survive the first attack by doing nothing

So all you do is pacifist.
But then you pull a flowey and eventually get bored of being nice and decide to see what happens when you kill everyone
Ive done 10 pacifist routes an im regretting why i did not kill everyone basicall becuz of chara
At least pacifist is nice and not as shocking as genocide
And if you do happen to corrupt your Pacifist runs, then I've actually uncorrupted them, but I only know how to do it on PlayStation 4. Here's how you do it:
1. Go to the home top menu.
2. Open the Settings.
3. Choose Application Saved Data Management.
4. Select Undertale.
5. Press Options on your controller then on the menu that just opened, press delete.
6. Select Undertale again.
7. Press Delete.
8. You've uncorrupted your Pacifist runs! You will have to do another Neutral run, but if you hate Chara taking over Frisk in Toriel's house, then it'll be worth it.

Side note:
If the megalovania music kinda makes you uneasy and tense, plug in headphones to another device and put on calming sounds or music and just mute the computer, it helped me wonders because I got very tense while Megalovania played in the background

instead of regular music i would use DEATH BY GLAMOUR
Not in my case, megalovania actually helped ease frustration with how badass the song is.
For me, the megalovania song makes me better at the fight... As it fills me with determination cus it's badass (and maybe because I want everyone else to know I'm fighting Sans)

Another tip when healing is to wait for the poison to wear off or else the poison sill carry over to the HP you gain. I'm only saying this because at 5:50 he healed with poison still on him so he didn't keep all the HP he got!

I do that.
That only works for items that heal all of the damage you've taken, if you wait until you have 1 health, and use a Legendary Hero, you'll get the same amount of health than if you just used it right away.
