Even female tigers want to mate with the alpha male lion. I guess she finds that mane sexy like a women might find a beard. Why? She knows he will protect her unlike the male tiger. If she were stuck on a train track and a freight train was bearing down the lion would take the blow before she did. As a human I love the male lion and his qualities.
