    About This Game (from steam)
    Welcome to Ultimate Epic Battle Simulator 2, the most ridiculous and insane battle simulator in existence! Create eye watering battles with hundreds of thousands, and even millions of characters on screen! Sandbox mode will return, with infinite army sizes and far greater flexibility than ever. Command your armies in RTS mode with full drag select army control, or get the job done yourself and play as any one of the units in 3rd or 1st person. In coming updates for early access, jump into multiple story and player driven campaigns or make your own and share them with your friends! FPS invasion will also be returning soon, where you play through the eyes of a soldier fighting off hordes of zombies in first person.
    Lets not ignore the elephant in the room! UEBS2 features revolutionary new crowd rendering and AI technology which uses pure GPU POWER to bring nation size battles to life! Witness the first game to fully utilize full GPU acceleration for every AI individual and all the technology behind the crowd tech. UEBS2 handles 100 times more characters on screen than its predecessor, and in far greater detail and quality. Details were not ignored, every individual has highly advanced decision making and animation, all while working together for a greater goal. We are also working on our own 'mass' GPU physics engine. Our hope is to bring physics to a scale never before seen, which may allow thousands of ragdolls, and millions of physics based objects. Keep in mind, our physics engine is in very early development so we can't make any guarantees.

      It's happened in the story before. Tyranids are basically unkillable unless you eliminate the entire fleet (until the next fleet). In this video, the hypothetical aftermath is the tyranids arrive, scrape everything biological off the planet, dump it in a vat, and make more tyranids.
      In short, all that tyranids and imperial biomass just gets remade not more. Only way to actually stop tyranids from expanding is to torch everything. Some characters have ordered entire planets scorched and destroyed simply to leave less biomass for the tyranids to consume.
      None of this even truly encapsulates the true horror of the tyranids, which is that they learn and adapt during the battle. Of course this game can't replicate that exactly but the tyranids would evolve in the battle to swim through the blood or redirect forces to certain flanks because they can see the strategies occuring. They would see the counter charge and develop something that could temporarily stop the space marines to allow the horde to jump them. They would of course develop more ranged weapons but still.
      The point is, tyranids are the most horrifying species in 40k and are virtually unstoppable. We don't even know where they came from, they just keep popping up leading us to theorize the worst of the worst.... They are the only living thing beyond our galaxy and they're pouring into the last galaxy remaining.

    just found these UEBS2 40k videos. and im just loving them so far. especially the videos with the tyrnaids.
    How do tyranids assimilate all this Biomass? a few things are considered 1. the amount of Biomass. 2.the force that they will be fighting. 3. how far is the tyrnaid force from the main tyranid force.
    1. tyrnaids in turn can consume any amount of biomass "including themselves". Tyranids in this instance have a number of feeder organisms that are ment to purely consume organic matter of any size. For large amounts of biomass like this battle they would either spawn hundreds of thousands of "Rippers: crawling serpent like beasts" or "Haruspexs: monstrous beasts that can eat entire regiments worth of soldiers in a single bite". these types of creatures would fallow or travel with the swarm to act as a mobile recycling force. they are often seen either at the back end of a swarm or in the middle of the force. depending on the situation. 2. since this was a scouting force of 5 million hormagaunts. it is pretty clear that the force would suffer heavy casualties in its victory, while at the same time as the force would be directed to to break down and destroy what fortifications that the defenders. so that the tyranids don't have to worry about that outpost in the future. 3. finally "how far from the main tyranid forces" since there were no larger creatures in the battle. it is safe to assume that the force was not that far from the main swarm. so the swarm of hormagaunts can all eat their fill and return to the main force for later battles or to be consumed themselves to add to the amount of biosmass that they return with. and later some feeder beasts can come by and eat up all that tasty biomass

      Fun ant fact, I know for fire ants at least, those ants are still alive! While a handful of ants is ultimately very little compared to the greater colony of thousands, they won’t needlessly waste their lives. They’ll build bridges or even rafts of their own bodies to cross chasms or survive floods, but once they’re no longer needed for that task, they’ll likely still be alive and ready to work on something else. It’s actually incredible to see how such little creatures can do such crazy things, it’s why I fell in love with the Tyranids in the first place!

    I feel like this could’ve gone a lot differently if the Templars were all placed on the front lines around the perimeter at the start since they could do no shooting at all and had to very slowly and sporadically wade through a wall to wall blockade of unmoving guards men. Like that one tactical placement of frontline chain swords with gun fire lines backing them up and heavy artillery firing over the walls would’ve allowed for better counter pushes and more efficient killing waves to hold the line

  • @josephjohnson5415
    @josephjohnson5415 Год назад +1

    When nids attack they are followed closely by ripper swarms, fat grub like creatures with sharp mouths that eat everything dead, including their fallen. These rippers then jump into bio-pools of acid that digest them and everything they've eaten. This bio-slurry is then pump into capillary towers which hive ship drink like straws or to birthing pools if the attack is still going. Tyranid motto "lunch today, more of us tomorrow", the tyranids never need sacrifice any of them as they are all redigested so long as they win. But a lost can be very costly.

    And if you imagine now that in the real combat scenario the guardsmen would've long been overrun cause of reloading/running out of ammo entirely.
    Actually, the main reason this fortress fell is because the Space Marines start pushing OUT when they get the chance. And by that they lose most if not all of the back-up firepower of the guardsmen they're tanking for, which leaves the Marines surrounded and then picked off rather quickly.
    And once that wall of defense falls the guardsmen don't have enough firepower to even out their squishyness.
    If the Space Marines held their positions close to the guardsmen they'd last a lot longer overall and kill MANY more tyranids.

    Also, StarCraft was originally meant to be a Warhammer game. But it didn't work out. Blizzard still had all of their work, however, and so just repurposed it into StarCraft. A bit Nid like...

    The Tyranids can assimilate a world within hours or at most 3 days if the world isnt very heavily defended. If the battle were to falter, then in the middle of the night, when the fortresses would be at its weakest, the Hive Mind might analyze the current state of its enemy and either A: deploy tunneling units such as Trigons to tunnel under and break into the middle, causing a distraction with a ripper swarm following them. While theyre doing that, other combat forms could climb the body mounds. Or B: If the fortress is still heavily defended, the hive mind MIGHT deploy one or two Heirophant bio-titans to literally shatter the fortress. Thats my take on it :)

    This has me convinced that in-lore the imperium should literally lose every single on-planet engagement with the nids. The imperial forces cannot shoot through walls, they get tired, they have friendly fire activated. They have limited ammo. Realistically, nids should always win in-lore, especially considering they have other types of troops as well

    • @joshydarroch

      Maybe but remember that the Imperium has much more combat capabilities/assets and numbers than what is shown here during engagements with the Nids. It's unclear how effective just one Lasgun is vs Tyranid carapace let alone any other equipment within the Imperium war machine.

    • @InquisitorPinky
      @InquisitorPinky Год назад +12

      In Universe, they only “win” with combined forces. But they actually do lose most planets. You need orbital support, and that means a gigantic fleet. If you have that and enough fortresses, you may survive. See Battle for Macragge. Most defences against tyrannids are there to win time. Trying to delay the swarm. Making it too costly to advance further

      @InquisitorPinky has it right, once the nids touch a planet they are all but unremovable. Same with the orks. Any on surface fighting isnt to stop them from taking the planet, its to evacuate imperial resources and then nuke it from orbit. Only in the most extreme circumstances would the Imperium attempt to stop the nids from holding a planet, usually under the instruction of an Inquisitor or the High Council of Terra. And those circumstances are rare to say the least

    @Yozzy22 Год назад

    Not a Nid player, but a few intersting factiods:
    Nids throwing enough bodies to just overwhelm and undermine defenses in 100% canon.
    What's not canon is UEBS AI in their decision making process. They use burrowers, flyers, infiltrators... The Nids aren't shy about throwing huge waves of bodies at a fortress, but they're usually smarter and more varied in their tactics. A shorter siege means the quicker they ring the dinner bell.
    After a battle, the various bugs, ripper swarms in particular, flood the field and chow down. Then they throw themselves into a reclamation pool (think of it like an open stomach making a lake) and turn into chitinous, fleshy towers. Bioships then drop below orbit to suck these up for food.
    A "textbook" Nid invasion takes less than a hundred days to turn a planet into an airless, waterless rock.
