  • linktr.ee/permapasturesfarm In this video we show you that it doesn't take much time and effort to dig a swale. In fact, you can dig one in just one hour! If you're doing it by hand then you obviously want to wait until after a rain event so it loosens up the soil a little bit. If not, and depending on your soil type, you may want to bring a pickaxe with you.

    We are doing what you are doing in Tucson, AZ. We are still only as far as getting our own property in order, but, after a year, it is starting to look rather awesome!

    I would dig for 15 mins, take an hour nap, then dig 15 minutes more. Give me a week to do what you did in an hour. Just kidding...it may take me 2 weeks.

      We were living in Texas at a time. Today we are located in western North Carolina.
