Way of Archery practitioners Blake Cole & Haydon Fu developed the slow draw exercise to teach new archers to control the pace of their shot cycle. This is Justin Ma's attempt at performing the exercise.

Got your book. Now shooting consistent groupings out to 45 yards with a traditional bow
Great!
I have to be honest you really inspired me I’ve been looking through your content and all of it so well spoken thank you
The control you have is unreal Justin! 🙌🏼
All your videos are excellent.. please keep creating new videos. This is one of my new favorite channels
Wow that's proper control & strength and seriously impressive
Very impressive. Top job.
Great web content! It looks very expert! Sustain the good work!
great stuff! dont break your shoulder man ! all the best to you
!
Very nice Videos at all, thank you very much✌️😁 I do your exercises in Gaozhen 2 HRS every day it's very nice to feel the effects and increase of the consistenly ...so it actually with Horsebows 75#@30" and 60#@30"...
1:05 - Fletching on hand... Ouch.
Sick draw power, well done. Great exercise.
It's not that bad if you have the nocking point high enough. Some fletchs are worse than others. If you tune your bow properly the fletch barely makes contact with skin and glides right over.
Beast! ;)
you are a beast
Hi Justin. Which thumb ring design do you prefer for prolong control for heavy draw weight bows. Can you mention seller too.
My teach always says that my hand should not go back after shooting. It should stay still.
Jesus Christ, man 😁. That's impressive
Whats name your kathra technic?
Doing that with my 50lb bow is almost ripping my thumb off when I use a ring. It actually hurts more with a ring than without. It's not a great fit though.
yea, i wonder how this man's bow does not rip his thumb. i guess we must enhance the fingers' muscle by exercise like with grip ball or grip device,
@@valinogoldberg2475 I got a new ring. I don't struggle any more and I am using a 75lb bow now. Ring makes all the difference. I am using the Alibow Shallow hook horn ring.
@@valinogoldberg2475 the only way to exercise for this is to find a thumb ring you are going to stick with and progresively pull higher and higher poundage bow. you can try pulling for 10 sec, resting 10 and repeating. good luck
How do you shoot with the thumb ring without hurting your finger? My thumb gets hurt really bad every time i try...
i guess your thumb ring is not suitable with the shape of your thumb. Thumb ring must be customized.
Is this the 50" version of the Tiron?
Don’t you hurt your thumbs? Are you not afraid to hurt it ( if arrow breaks or so)?
Thumb rings.
even drawing the 40# , I already have concern about my thumb. lol... how to manage to draw 100#?
btw, personally, i prefer to start with the bow slightly above the head, and at the same time the bow hand push the bow forward, while the string hand pull the string back. Maybe it's because my bow is Korean, and seeing the KTA practitioners do so too.
Here's how you get to 100# and beyond: sites.google.com/view/beyond-strength/home
@@TheWayofArchery Thank you for putting this together and what an awesome resource!
牛逼!!!
Not only control but also muscle strength - increasing time under tension helps with that. PS With those draws I really suggest counting how many shots you make, going to the gym and working out a bit more on the left side :)
Jesus Christ is coming soon!
great vid!
I'm shooting barethumbs...
Hold on...
Up to your ear, is a 28 draw?
Then... You are a really small person, don't?
Yes, I am 167 cm tall. -Justin
You are going to hurt yourself wow...
