I haven't such players myself yet, but I've seen alot of people on Reddit complaining about these builds. Maybe because I'd only play for like 2 hours on the release day of that patch.

Played a couple matches and actually found a cheater too, dude would spam Pulse Armor, like second it was gone fully back up with no cool down, finally managed to actually get him low, and then he had terminal armor too
Respect to you being able to get him low despite his ass spamming shields

@bombomos that does sound like coral shield sense you can pop it out fast and no real delay till it breaks.
If it was red then it was more than likely a coral shield.
Guy probably had the Coral shield honestly, if it was red.

@@animatoraoi3672 This one is more managable, but depends on your energy efficiency and positioning. Preferably I suggest close range combat with those.
I was imaging Ayre being innocent thought matchmaking was a dating app and confused why people shooting her and 621.

(i know matchmaking in the video context is about connecting willing competitors to put into a competitive match e.g. boxing)
also, there was a weird non-Zimmerman build months back. Game updates might have changed the balance and effectiveness of builds.

I feel that. The meta is such bullshit, no one seems like they want to experiment anymore. That being said, I’m guilty of this too because I use mostly reverse joint legs. And when I do use reverse joint legs I’m usually mid to heavy weight with some actually bullshit weapon combo. I’m still trying to figure out the shoulder mounted gatling cannon but that works as a great “stay away” option while I’m reloading a pistol
It's called META because there's no need to experiment - you are most opt to win.

otherwise, you can always stick to player matches, where you'll find more people playing for fun, experimenting with characters/mechs :)

There are also latency issues. Unlike in Soulsborne games or Elden Ring, you can't just i-frame phantom hits and becomes annoying to get hit by bazookas or other high stagger inducing weapons and get hit anyway, even when you dodged it and see the shot pass next to you.

Me: yeah, PVP can be pretty insane when it comes to boost canceling, and or jumping up in the air shooting missiles balconies tend to get a little hectic
Dual triple Lasers is my answer to disconnects because it usually just one shots the player when staggered and they have no time to disconnect when they are dead but, in all seriousness, if you disconnect not only is that maidenless behavior you should also loss match and be suspended for a day ( with higher suspensions and eventual ban for repeat offenders).
I've only really encountered one tank, a double zook/fasan wheel chair that was very aggressive. Beyond that, im seeing alot more mobile builds and people still trying the old meta or meta-esq builds. Only two of my builds used so far are a memey quad-lobster and my actual mw skirmish/kite build.
Im sorry for using a lobster but at the same time, annihilating a double S16 with 4 laser cannons at once feels so sweet.
This sums up my first experience on it which was meeting a literal fucking missile boat while all I had was a basic funny build

After a day, D rank is nothing but lightweight builds just like me. All the sweats and meta slaves can stay in A-S rank I'm happy in D-C rank.
I have also observed a trend in roach bulids ( slim speedy boys that fly around and shoot missles) but the tetra pods make me want to kermit die

Yeah there are some bullshit out there. But rank does seem to jave pulled all meta users away from customs which is nice
