The power head is running loud because it needs a new belt. The brush isn't spinning properly at all. Those nozzles take a Eureka AR belt. The Power nozzle is proper and they used the same power head on the 6982 D. The color is proper for the unit too.
@jeramiahcastro9868 Eureka RD belts are what you need to be looking for. I use the clear koblenz belts because they last longer. They are a little more pricey though.

2002. Yes that Power nozzle is original to it since it's a 6982A, it got replaced the 6982A-1 uses the GE power nozzle.
I would have thought that the power nozzle would have been the same blue color as the machine. Yes, it sounds loud

Imho, yes. Maybe check the belt, make sure the brush is alright, and make sure that the motor isn't loose or slightly out of position, like Orecks do
Where can I find some genuine sanitatair belts because my belts are snapping on my vintage 60s eureka edge kleener and my 1976 eureka wild moss 2385
