They are no beatles but! I do like green day and can tell the influences they took from, gotta give credit where its due
Their song "Homecoming" on the same album is another 9+ minute banger. Different tempos, different songs but seems like the same song, smooth transitions, the use of so many different instruments. "Letterbomb" is another good one too. Highly recommend checking out their other songs from their older albums too. Can't go wrong with any of their songs to be honest.
I took my daughters to see them here in Philly this past summer. Tre Cool is a highly underrated drummer. Did an amazing solo ✌️
Tre Cool was named the best rock drummer quite a few times. One of the most solid drummers out there still playing 2+ hours long sets in 2022 after 35+ years of playing live.
They made this album into a successful Broadway show.these guys are really talented. Changed their sound along the way, but kept their sound.

OK, now that you have heard their more mature later stuff, check out their roots with Basket Case, Welcome to Paradise or When I Come Around
Jesus OF Suburbia, but this is one of my favorites by them, it's a whole pop-punk rock opera, and I think this song in particular got people in Broadway to consider making a show of their American Idiot album, which got a lot of praise.
This was one the first CDs my dad bought me! That and U2 How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb....brings back so many memories of when I first moved across the country to Virginia wow...awesome.

Wake Me Up When September Ends or Holiday from this album (although you can pick pretty much any other song), Good Riddance, 21st Century Breakdown (or pretty much anything from the album of the same name). Plenty of good older tunes too. Lot to pick from

American Idiot is a great album and brilliant musical as well. I’ve seen the stage show, and if you ever get the chance it’s well worth it. Boulevard of Broken Dreams is one of my favorites from the album. Cheers!

This is the only Green Day song this channel should listen to. Its effectively a prog rock song (and Green Day nails it). The rest is probably not gonna be a hit with Wilburn...TBH
They have lots of songs like this. "Homecoming" is also 9 min long with multiple changes, and so are "Somewhere Now" ,"Forever Now", "Whatsername" and "Letterbomb".
