This is an interesting builds. Honestly, I love seeing tank builds in any game because I'm mainly a support when I play with friends. Most people want to go raw damage, but you know what they say: "The best offense is a good defense".
Yeah, I agree. Though, I'm just tired of the "The best offense is a good defense" mentality. Raw damage is great and all, but sitting in cover for 12 minutes spamming skills or bullets ain't all that fun to me. More people need to recognize the pure chaos that is charging straight into enemy lines and still surviving.
@@sagechanged7923 That's what i like about heartbreaker reminds me of div1 combat, just run into pure chaos and run and gun.
I finally subbed. I love your build videos. Sometimes I wish there was a condensed version, but gameplay and the tutorials are very thorough.
Your build is exactly the same as mine. Been running that since HB set was released. The main difference for PVE I use the Carbine 7. My tank leans more towards regen rather than CHC and CHD, even with the drop since the multiplicative was changed to additive, it still hits hard. I swap between Fox's Prayer with Armour core and Damage core to leverage slightly more output on occasion for PVE, but yeah. It was nice to otherwise see you use my favourite build. Only one that counters this in PVP is the Anto pulse builds, makes building stacks useless and since building stacks is the core mechanic leaves you greatly exposed even with high base armour. 1 Yaahl gear any spec and a single anti-pulse mod on enemies makes this build a letdown as I found in my experience. :) Keep up the great work KVD!

The guy shooting at you while you were downed did it to make you move towards him because otherwise he was going to get shocked. I think it is easy to understand XD
Gonna have to give this a try, not looking forward to farming for Catharsis lol but I'm still relatively low (watch lvl 215) and I'm tired of getting absolutely steamrolled in DZ & tougher mission runs. Thanks for the vid!

Kam, the rapper you're thinking of that samples the white stripes melody was Apathy. Old underground rapper in the late 90's and early 2000's.
You know, I thought of something kam for another slight variation to the PVE version of this build. I wonder instead of using technician for your talent, you use sharpshooter and then use the scan drone, if you don't actually deploy it somewhere, the mods that come with it give 65m of pulse and literally lasts 5+minutes and it only has a 20 sec cd, so the uptime to having pulsed enemies far out weighs the pulse technician if you're not disrupted, so you have that pulse without having to headshot. I mean you could try it out with that variation for pve too, something to test too. This is a strong ass build though, especially facing disruption builds, this would out surpass their strategy.
100% been running a setup with this set armour and came to see if it's something other people noticed.
I'm running crusader shield with technician / pulse laser. My only thing is wondering if I should trade the chest piece with the talent that does more damage to pulsed targets.
I'm using a repair drone or cluster seeker mines as my second ability. Posting this before I watch also to see how close it is.
I also don't have any exotics so it's probably a little different. I'm new like just started getting set gear new.
Ha ha way different cause I don't have anything yet.
I'm just using the heartbreaker set with two items that boost my assault rifle damage and one that boosts armour.
I just thought I stumbled onto a miracle with the pulse laser interaction with heartbreaker.

Might i recommend swap out the famas and use a vector .45 with spotter and the linked laster pointer. I run close to the same build but with 1.5 million armour. Trust me it utterly melts.
With what gear set? You would lose out on first perk for AR and LMG. Does the damage still make it worth running with smg?
@@6lackn322 super yes. I ran vector instead of acs to start building stacks further away. I stopped swapping to Kingbreaker after awhile.
@@elliottb9658 Dark winter would be doable if it can hold the linked laser pointer, but perfect killer won't have near the uptime of Flatline
@@elliottb9658 sorry didn't have notifications on. It has to be the vector 45 as it can use the linked laser pointer. Dark winter can't. Neither can the 9mm. In the clan vendors right now is a vector 45 that would be perfect.

I am solo and have been trying to get a great build. Not very knowledgeable about this whole build thing but would love to get some advice. Just started the Black Tusk run through.
I tried this build with St Elmo. Damn this build is fun too in countdown heroic. Lol I'm only SHD 385 the team said I won't survive...I had the last laugh 😆 super fun!

I have a question about playing with this build. I am a returning player and I'm still learning how all the gear works together. That being said, I put this build together so that I didn't have to worry too much about skills. I do as you say using the rock and roll to build my stats and then switch to the king breaker yet there are times I'm very hard for the enemy to take down and other times they take me down quickly. My exp. is at 16, and most of the set, with a couple of exceptions, are at 13. What am I missing here? Does it have anything to do with the team that I'm running with? I use it for the most part in countdown, running with random teams.
I like the build, great survivability, i just have no idea how your getting those damage numbers, my build is exactly the same as yours except my kingbreaker is only 10% extra proficiency damage rather than 19% on yours and im lucky to get 1mil crit, how your getting 3mil+ is a mystery to me.

@@SoulBlazer-kw1db im shd level 2000 so after 1000 it doesn’t make any difference, its just weird. My damage numbers make sense as my weapon base damage on my kingbreaker is about 100k and with all blue cores there is no extra weapon damage. So 1mil seems achievable, 4mil…………ive got no chance of getting there.

Yea u can't trust countdown numbers cause of those crazy buffs should do legendary missions for testing instead would show a more accurate image
is better 8% DMG Out of cover or 15% Weapon Damage from Picaro's?
Use fox prayer. It has both damage out of cover and weapon damage. Well, at least mine does.
Im running blue striker, with gila cheast red blue with perfect vanguard and coyote mask, busy bee, rock and roll and Kingbreaker technician, it shreds and helps your group like a god 1.5 mio armor + 1 mio in reserve with shield

There's no special tricks. You target loot, and farm. It may or may not drop. Farm. That's what loot games do since the dawn of loot games.
Is the Heartbreaker set still obtainable? I started playing again about a week ago and I haven't seen the set in any drops nor have I seen it as targeted loot.

Hahahaha this reminded me when the Heartbreaker gear set is first introduced into the game the bonus armor is insane 👌
If the backpack gives you 2% instead of 1%, then at max stacks you have 200% bonus armor. So wouldn't it be 1.9m base armor plus 3.8m bonus armor from Heartbreaker? 5.7m armor, right? Or is my math wrong?
Can this build still hang in PVP in the current meta/ day?
I have been running a Heartbreaker "tank" build since it was first released. In PVE I use the Vector running Preservation and the Bluescreen. The Bluescreen is more stable and accurate than the Kingbreaker and has a faster RPM. I use this build as an agro target in PVE so I am less worried about doing damage. I max'd out my build for armor/bonus armor and added three 12% Protection from Elites mods.

The only thing is it seems a Lil inconsistent when you get armor. My builds almost identical except I get bonus armor when I get kills. And I use a different shotgun and an lmg instead of smgs

Expertise is so bogus, but separate topic. Amazing build! Didn't know armor could get that high. Might as well throw on an Artificer hive and a Crusader shield.
Expertise is for PvP players IMO. In PvE you will still clear content with or without high Expertise.
Expertise isn't necessary for literally *any content in the game* whatsoever. It takes awhile to get it so it's not "easy" (which then makes it seem 'basically required'), and it's there for anyone committed enough to want it. That's an ideal system, IMO.

you cant really compare or call out damage numbers while a big amount of viewers doesnt know that the countdown “close range damage” buff is just broken and will make everything do damage

IMO it wouldn't because you couldn't sustain bonus armor as well due to the small mag. But I'll test to make sure. It'll still punch with breath free and crit damage rolled/ optimized on the Heartbreaker gear because of stacks. I'm running with dark winter right now and it shreds.

@@Kamikazevondoom I only watched the first part of the item explenation since I already have a well functioning Heartbreaker build with the AA12 and a Kingbreaker for damage. Its almost the exact same, but I use fox prayer+contractor gloves and not catharsis, but I will try the mask :D and I will try your core attribute split since my Heartbreaker build felt lacking in DPS sometimes when I was doing heroic content.

Not necessarily true. I personally don't hit these numbers because I run an smg, but without coyote and getting my own stacks coupled with perfect intimidate, I'm hitting 450k+ w/ dark winter💯
How about showing gameplay of the three paratroopers who made the build not viable in PVP let’s not make heartbreaker a thing in pvp it’s not as good as people make it out to be it’s for fun not for results 💪

DZ is too spread out for this build. Heartbreaker is best in close quarter combat.
@@Kamikazevondoom I don't know.. DZ EAST and WEST yes.. In the South It's pretty compact.. I also see the Occupied as pretty close Combat cause no Turrets and fight are near the CP.. But still. I play DZ everyday and I barely see this HB in the DZ. Spotter and Old Meta AR are Running the DZ..
