How to check/test magnet coil of any motorcycle with multimeter | magneto check (pulsar)

In this video you will learn how to check/test magnet coil of any motorcycle with the help of multimeter. Before check the magnet coil you should know the resistance ranges for the coils according to your motorcycle. I showed the testing process on a basic magnet coil of pulsar 150 ug2 old model but no matter what brand of motorcycle you have the process of testing will remain same.
In old models specially the AC CDI ones have a starter/exciter coil in the magnet coil assembly which is pretty big as compare to other coils and you will not going to see that particular coil in newer models , then there is a pickup coil aka pulsar coil aka crank position sensor which is quit common in every single motorcycle . There are two more coils known as light coil and charging coils .
You should also know the colors of wires of these coils because they can vary in different motorcycles. Set the multimeter to continuity first to check all coils to be connected to the negative of battery or not except the charging coil. put one probe of multimeter to coil wire and other probe to the body of motorcycle or negative wire and you should hear a beep or see reading in case of pickup coil . If any coil fails in this test consider to repair or completely change the magnet coil assembly.
The second test is resistance test and it will perform the same way as the continuity test but you need to set the multimeter on ohm reading and check the resistance reading one by one in all coils and see if they lies between the specific range of resistance or not . If any coil reading comes out of the range despite low or high consider the magnet coil to replace.
