  • This exhibition displays 123 representative jewelry works by French jewelry designer Jean Schlumberger, revealing the special influence of his jewelry design art on the fashion field of the 20th century. These jewels are currently in the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (Virginia Museum of Fine Arts), and they are all exhibited in China for the first time.
Jean Schlumberger (1907-1987) was born into a wealthy French merchant family. After World War II, he moved to the United States and opened a jewelry store in New York. In 1956, the president of Tiffany & Co. invited him to join the company as a designer. Most of Schlumberger's works are based on the theme of "natural creatures", while being influenced by surrealist art, they are full of vitality and imagination. Jacqueline Kennedy, Audrey Hepburn, Greta Garbo, Elizabeth Taylor and other European and American fashion celebrities have been his clients.
