This is the concert I would choose to attend, IF I could create a time machine. Angelina was 11 years old and this was the opening song of 13 she sang that day. The band was on fire and Angelina fed off their energy. This 2017 concert is magical.
If this was the same concert where she did her great performance of "This is a Man's World" then make room for me please.

I lived in Chicago in the 70's, and you would go into a smoky nightclub and hear a group of musicians playing like this with a blues singer belting it out. Unbelievable that an 11 year old girl from Norway can sound like that.
She had to PG the lyrics. From make love to you. This made for some tricky timing yet she still kills it.
Angelina ALWAYS kicks up to the applicable level, the blues sung like they SHOULD BE... this demonstration of vocal mastery is pristine, crisp and downright bursting with a bravado that just picks you up and carries you back in time... It's obvious she can hold her own even with "Juke Joint" jams. This is my favorite cover.. growling grit on some of those notes is pure genius, PURE JOY to my ears. There's much better sounding video of this performance, and have to give a high five to that trombone player... One heck of a solo... This was Angelina at her daring, powerful, creative best. I'm still clapping... OUTSTANDING, just OUTSTANDING show, Angelina.

She is spectacular. She doesn’t just sing this-she feels it, and it shows. It doesn’t matter that she’s 11. Put her up against anyone singing this. Yes, this is her lane, but she has several others that I like as much.
Until last year live at Kongsberg this was my all time favorite live performance by her. You have Ella's belting, Janis Joplins crazy rasp and Angelina rolling them all together with her bottomless Soul,at 11! Great reaction!

How can anyone forget to turn her mic up. It's all about her sound, her voice. Everything else is just incidental. Good reaction.
Indeed... It's a shame that the band's volume was so high compared to Angelina's microphone.
Not only does Angelina do a stellar job on vocals on this cut but she also really pushes the band. If you watch the guys in the horn section you can tell they are digging her performance and raising their level to match her performance. This is a bunch of seasoned musicians recognizing another artists talent. I imagine they back up lots of mediocre performers but when the get behind a powerhouse vocalist like Angelina you can see how it lights them up big time. One of the things that I noticed right away when I started watching her is how she not only doesn't get overpowered by big backing bands she actually seems to thrive on powerful back up. As a young girl she could easily get drowned out by a loud rock band like these guys but instead she really rises up to the challenge. I've seen a lot of live music in my 70 years and you can spot a great performer by how they pull energy from great backup musicians and really rise to another level. She's like some little kid driving a Ferrari and not only not losing control but actually going REALLY fast. Your reference to Aretha was spot on and I never thought I would ever see anyone rise to the level of the Queen Of Soul.
Great reaction 👍. She was 11 here. Angie took the blues song "I want to make sweet love to you" and made it age appropriate and changed the lyrics and title to "Lovin you". This is the song she opened here concert with that song.

This is one of my favorites.
There was something special about this day, Angelina had her flower crown in her hand, but strode onto the stage and just put it down - she had all the confidence that she needed to open up this concert with a bang! The songs that followed also had enhanced flavour, she was certainly in the groove. The version of Cry me a River (you already reacted to) was incredible!

Nick a year earlier she did a foot-stomper version of, 'I Feel Good' I'll leave the link below. If she had a steady diet of those songs she might have blown her vocal folds out. Angelina could go in any direction with her voice, she has chosen instead to do them all. Thank you Angelina.

Regarding the sound balance: No professional cameras were allowed during this concert. You can see some men filming, they probably had permission to film professionally. What we see is filmed with a cell phone. I have heard from some who were there that all the audio for the audience was excellent.

I think that was mostly the way this was just recorded on a phone.... I would guess that the volume balance was actually a lot better "in real life"

My favorite song from this concert is"Cry Me a River" ( ruclips.net/video/Zr4INP8yhB0/видео.html ). The trombone player gives us an outrageous performance.
This is not an official recording, it was done on a cellphone, so there is no control over the sound levels like you would have with a sound engineer!
Mind blowing performance. Sure wish she would record this now or release the professional recording that I think was made at the time. Many thanks to the fan that enhanced and the fan made that made this video.

It always amazes me how peple don't understand that sound issues with concert recordings are basically *always* because of how it was _recorded_ , not how well or poorly the sound was set up in the venue itself. I can pretty much guarantee you, it would have sounded great if you were actually there in person. They did not need to "turn her mic up".
This was recorded probably on a little consumer-grade video camera. Those are very sensitive to their exact placement in the "soundscape". If you're closer to one speaker than others, or more "on-axis" WRT some speakers and "off-axis" WRT others, that can really screw up the sound. That's what hapened here. When an actual person is in the same situation, their brain can use all kinds of audio cues to compensate for the differences in sound levels. A single-mic audio recording (or even two mics very close together) doesn't allow for that.
Anyway, the fan who recorded this concert has put out "sound enhanced" versions of most of the songs, where he has pulled her vocals "forward" in the mix. Here's the "enhanced" version of this one, for anyone who has not heard it yet: ruclips.net/video/qrwuJVs_nJs/видео.html

Mostly the guitar and drums are too loud, the rest is excellent.
