Muttunahaara flopped for the following reasons 1. Poor screenplay with unwanted scenes and deviations. 2. Vishnu's physique. He didn't prepare physically fit the role of the soldier. Too bulky. 3. Hamsalekha's music barring Madkeri Sipaayi and the title song was a letdown. He is good for out and out commercial movies. Not proficient for movies of this pedigree. 4. Direction had to be tight and consistent. Babu slackened despite having the best of actors
