  • It’s been a long four years but the Peabody Museum is finally reopened!! This such a special place for me. It’s the first time I’ve ever seen real dinosaur skeletons as a child. The new museum is almost unrecognizable now!! Old favorites like Brontosaurus and Stegosaurus are remounted to modern standards. There are so neat surprises scattered throughout if you look closely. Enjoy the tour!! #dinosaur #dinosaurmuseum #dinosaurfossils #brontosaurus #stegosaurus

Been going here since I was a baby. Super excited to get tickets! The hall of mammals has finally gotten the showcase it deserves!

Thank you for the tour Andy! They have a nice collection, though I would expect more from such a famous museum. Much appreciated that you bring it close to us, so far away!

I remember had poster of it before first visiting here when I was a kid. Was completely surprised when I saw it was a huge mural!! It’s an absolutely amazing piece of paleoart.

Awesome video dude, really appreciate you showing off the non-dino exhibits too, that Edaphosaurus, Xiphactinus, and Moropus were especially stand out to me. Great to see the Zallinger Murals still there post-renovation as well. Thanks for sharing 🍻

It’s a great little museum with so much history behind it. I’m a little disappointed no new dinosaurs were added. They removed, camptosaurus, camarasaurus, Centrosaurus, and Claosaurus didn’t make the renovation cut. Guess they hate all the dinosaurs that start with “C” 😂. There were early plans to add allosaurus but that obviously changed. A large theropod is something that’s always been missing from the hall.

It’s a massive specimen. Biggest stegosaurus mount I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen a few. It’s close to 25ft long. It’s a big boy lol

I visited a few days ago the nostalgia is crazy some improvements are great but I do have to be honest and I miss old Peabody. The renovation modernized it and kinda lost some of its theming.

Maybe someday the Peabody Museum will have an actual T.rex specimen to display instead of a replica of just a skull.
