Good stuff, Julian! I think Power Queen will be my next one. 🤠
Thanks for the 'heads up' Julian. 73. Peace +
Does it have low temperature protection? Low temp is much to ask for the price.
I know Power Queen has a good RUclips reputation for its price.
Great question.
There is a version called "Low Temp". That version has low voltage charge protection built in. The price is nice as well.
Here's the link to the blog.

Hey Julian, been following you bunch of years. Like your common sense no BS approach to things. Which battery? one of the 100ah Regular, Smart, Premium 2, or self heating? I also need a combo charger and solar manager for up to 200 watts and 10 amps. Or the price for two 50ah batteries. They are close enough in price having 2 smaller batteries for my 991a would be convenient. Ideas? 73

I took the 100ah deep cycle. I haven't had experience with any of the other ones yet but, That self heating one is pretty interesting for this latitude. I just don't know how much that heating will take away from it's overall capacity. The 2x 50ah sounds good. Just remember Choose your battery based on the amount of time you want to use your radio vs it's rx current. The 991a is quite hungry.
I'm using Genasun GV10L for lithium iron phosphate. The noise is extremely low And I haven't had any trouble with them yet. I've been using them for about six years.
Unfortunately we cannot order Power Queen products in Hawaii. They will not ship here. SAD!
Sorry, didn't know. Have you heard about battery hookups?
Lots of other options with Chinese LI batteries.
@@ZAR66like target practice?
Julian can you give me a source for the safety glass frames? I need those. Thanks! 73
Wileyx ballistic goggles, and bollè tactical raider safety glasses.
@@OH8STN X1000 or Chronosoft? What are the better impact resistant?
@K4RJJ wilexy can take shòtgün blast. Just like body armor they have ballistic rating. You'll have to read the documentation on the particular ones you want. Bollè are not ballistic rated. They're just normal safety glasses.
How is this the first time I wondered where the OH8 call signs come from. I never would have imagined you are English-as-second-language. I only assume that to be true because you are in Finland but maybe you grew up somewhere else before landing there.
He's an American expat and I wish he was my neighbor. Our loss is the Finnish gain.
Indeed, I am an American expat 👍
Is that a group 24?
The second one down on the blog post is a group 24. It's called Power Queen Premium.
