@@johnthehumanist2333 That's not the same thing at all. Christian uses the trauma he went through when he was four years old to justify how he abuses and controls women he's in relationships with. Having a bad childhood does not justify hurting others to cope with it.
Dakota Johnson's acting at about 3:30 in (the crying in bed)...was by far incredible & yet another reason why she was perfect for the role. I'm still so glad that SHE got the role. Although she was NOT a big name actress at the time, she sure filled the shoes with flawless perfection & did the character of Anastasia justice. Much more than ANY big-name actress could ever/would ever have done. Dakota is a rare gem, a rare find in Hollywood these days. One who truly has a gift, & who reminds us that there ARE still some greats out there, who have honed their craft & worked hard, & not slept their way to the top. She earned the role, & now she OWNS it. Kudos to Dakota Johnson! What a breath of fresh air in this time of fakes.
I'm allaboutu Carter she really is a rare gem . And I like the fact that her beauty is so natural and more realistic than all the plastic busted up or dangerously thin actresses that seem so unhealthy . Dakota was raised well by her A list Hollywood parents . She has a great balance of their great looks and talents but is her own person that’s 100% authentic
I love how the costumes represent them so well. Ana wears bright clothes and in this scene wears white; Christian has darker clothes and wears black. Very symbolic and a smart choice on the filmmakers’ part.
@tomestraveler behind the scenes there was an experienced Domme to guide Dornan and Dakota. She also contributed to supplying the items that you see Christian using.
Why is that so true. Even though you really want to for example be in a relationship and there is love on both sides you can’t because both just can’t commit or something else goes horribly wrong.
@alright14 before you ask i will explain the difference between the two. A submissive does what he or she is told, for example if my submissive calls me and i ask if she has eaten and hydrated herself and she tells me no then i will punish and not reward her. A brat is a woman who doesn't necessarily submit but doesn't want to be controlled either, but will say or do things to get under my skin like: roll her eyes, scoff, sticking her tongue out at me, all of these things will not earn a reward or a cuddle session, but you will get aftercare and rest.
in the second movie as per the book, Christian gave Ana the proposition of a normal vanilla relationship, no rules, no punishment . he willing to change for her which she accepts and so they continue their relationship . A beautiful love story
Christian:don't hate me please Ana:Am falling in love with you Christian:no you can't love me Me:you don't want hate, you also don't want love, what the hell do you want then?
Spoiler alert: Christian was horribly abused by three different people and that's why he's "Fifty shades of fucked-up". The story gets much better in the sequels when Ana finds out what happened to him and danger also comes their way.
Yifan Wang Because it's an old saying. If you were having some bad luck or something wrong was happening, you might say "Oh, I have a flat tire on top of all the bad things that happened today...i'm fifty shades of screwed now" or maybe "Wow. That kid just stuck a Lego block up his nose...that was just fifty shades of wrong" It's a way of exaggerating just how negative something is. Christian wasn't just saying "I'm fucked up" he was impressing upon her how very badly he was fucked up..."I'm fifty shades of fucked up" - meaning it was very bad and complex.
Damn after reading the books its so completely different. Ana was wayyyy more defying in the books than in the movies and the lip biting thing she does only last for what ten minutes throughout the whole 3 movies??? That’s her main thing, that’s what drives him insane.
She’d probably have slapped him or pushed him away and ran? We’ll never know either way he wouldn’t of forced her to stay due to the way he was he looked so sad but with his hard past you can’t blame him and the way he acted in the first book and movie 😔
this guy is confusing and so is she he doesnt want to fall in love with anyone but he still went to stop her from going but she tells him to stop but he doesnt and then she just shoutes no!! and then his like ana wtf dude you need to stop confusing your self
This is better than the alternate ending and it actually made me like the movie as a whole. If there was no sequels and it was a standalone story it would hold ground-- powerfully so. This was bordering art with a swing and a miss.
I literally finished watching this and I can honestly say this ending left me wanting more. Because I know that there’s so much more that could be done with exploring Christian’s past and exploring Anna’s life post-Grey. I’m just hoping that the sequels won’t drop the ball
An underrated movie, it just revealed some truths that many people don't know about, that is bondage & domination, It was Christians way of life, he developed an attraction to Ana, she was taken by his good looks ,masculinity but Ana was innocent however she thought she would try his ways hoping h would be a regular boy friend but he never could be,she wasn't really into the B&d scene, so the affair ended. It caused much confusion because the story went against some persons understanding of these rare desires
"Christian no she just told you that she has fallen in love with you." No Ana you can't love me,but at the same time you don't want her to hate you dude what the hell do you want???
The most pointless “cliffhanger” ever. You don’t even have to be familiar with the books to know that her leaving was absolutely pointless. They even get back together 10 minutes into the sequel.
Her leaving wasn’t pointless. It let Christian know that she was out if Christian treats her like that in the relationship. It was because she left him, that he realized that he had to change if he wanted Ana back.
If the Fifty Shades story had ended here, it would have been substantially better. It could have served as a cautionary tale and would have established the growth Ana made as a character.
Such an underrated movie. I'm not a fan of 2 and 3. You can feel in Part 1 they trusted their director. Part 2 and 3 was a whole different approach and I think it backfired.
Dakota said the lady who wrote the book was very difficult and had to shoot the scenes her way and then the director shot it his way to prove he knew what he was doing. The person who wrote the book wanted Ana's inner dialog in her head to be heard and Dakota didn't and the director. Sounds like fame went to the author's head.
He doesn't want her to love him bcuz then he won't be willing to do those things to her. He won't hurt people knowing that they love and care for him. That's the reason why he left Leila. She wanted more, fell in love with him but he wasn't willing to cause her pain knowing that she loves him.
I respect Anna for not wanting to be his abuse victim but jesus he’s a weak dominant, 4 lashes and that’s the worst? I’ve seen much worse in bdsm . This is nothing if you research how much torture a dominant can expect to perform on their sub . But I’m glad she stood up for herself.
She didnt understand his darker side. Thats why she said "you wont do that to me again" after he hits her with a belt. But she did fall in love with him but she realised that a relationship with christian would be difficult thats why she left him.
