First, Patrick is a great instructor and you can really tell wine is his passion. Also, the editing is very smooth. I wanted to say that first because I notice when Patrick talks there are a lot of edits between words. I'm dying to know if its just a longer pause between words or he's meandering off the point. Hes got so much information to share, I tend to believe he's meandering. 😊 either way, I love this content. I've learned a lot from these two!
I make a first cut of the video, and Elle,my wife, cuts it between words, so viewers don’t lose their attention. We want to have as much information as possible in short period of time, otherwise this 18 mins video will be more like 40 mins with same content : ) I hope this answers your question!

Good video. I remember when I first took steps to “taste seriously” - I tried my hardest not to be threatening to anyone around me lol. Some people become very nervous and awkward around expensive, fine wine.
Great summation! Not going to lie, but I use the Belgian-style Beer Glasses (Patrick said, "Brandy Glass") as my wine glass and it works just fine without being too fragile! Plus, they double for enjoying nice beers, too!

After decanting, keep it at room temperature until you’re ready to drink the wine. For some Barolos, for example 5-6 hours or even longer. Based upon your preference you can either drink it at room temperature or chill the decanter in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes. Keep in mind that the effects of decanting will be faster at room temperature than at cellar temperature. Enjoy!
