Lawrence, you are, by far, the best at these fight compilations and explainers. I know this takes an incredible amount of time and effort. I just want you to know you are very much appreciated. Keep up the excellent work my friend.
Buakaw is my fave Muay Thai fighter ever. If K1 Max didn't keep changing the rules to take away his weapons, he could have won 4 straight Max titles. Would have loved to see him fight Yod in full MT rules when they were both in their prime.
It took me more than 10 minutes to get through the first 2 minutes of this. Buakaw's speed and timing are incredible, and nearly every kick deserves review. Also this is another tops video, thank you.
I was wondering why you were talking about Buakaw's switch kick at the beginning of the video. Casual Muay Thai pratice here, wasn't so sure about the name of this technique but I mostly knew what to expect. The more you talked, the more I was finally able to understand and see his kick. His movements are so precise that you don't see the loading phase. I can't imagine what this would feel like being his opponent! As Saenchai mentioned Buakaw is an artist of femur. Thanks for this one, I have discovered a side from Buakaw that I wasn't aware of. I could see but wasn't able to understand the finesse behind it!
I love the switch kick. But I am way too slow when I do it. You gave me so many ideas to practice at the heavy bag and with a partner. Buakaw's speed is terrifying and his setups are clean, safe and efficient. Thanks a lot.
I love it Mr. Kenshin. Buakaw is my favorite thai fighter and his style has always amazed me to the point I've been trying to learn from it and adapt it to my style since I love the switch kick. Thank you for this. Very much appreciated. You are the best when speaking of breakdowns. God bless 🙏
Great job mate thanks for this - from start to finish excellent footage chosen, breakdown, and commentary. And you can't go wrong with (IMO) the GOAT, Buakaw!
Buakaw is a freak of nature! His technique is outstanding! I remember watching him in the early days in K-1 max and how he changed his technique depending on who he was fighting. He is one of my favourite fighters of all time. It is a privilege to watch him fight! Nice video like always👍👊💯
Great video, who doesn’t love a good Buakaw compilation. Heads up, the “knee drive” kick is called a “question mark kick”. ❔ Good kick and usually used after a long knee or low kick, then turned question mark. 🙏
Can't help but wonder how much damage an oblique kick to the back leg fired exactly when he switches would do. His pre-pivot puts a really nasty lever arm on his knee.
The mental strength it would take to even get in the ring with this man knowing what he is capable of blows my mind. Buawkwa in my humble opinion has got to be in the top 10, if not top 5 in all combat disciplines.
It is so strange to watch this man in the ring and then watch him with freinds, family and villagers. He changes his personality completely. I often watch how he could take advantage of a situation when he fights but chooses not to. He fights by the rules and stays with that and as for me that is pertinent.
WIth greatest respect to Mr. Buakaw, Mr.Buakaw must have been informed opf the speed differential, we had been taught some decades ago, the speed of attack, say 0.15sec is still shorterter the defence, still above som 0.2s! The same applies to kiccks if applied at a semi-direct reach, i.e. knee or high speed round kick,: IN sum, in my humble practice over 3 decades in martial arts, there is no-one, who can parry it. Only to show the reason , why mr. Buakaw, with all repect of min, too, has managed to win the bouts. Best regards, Paul, 69, Europe,

I’ve always wondered if Baukaw is too versatile in his fighting style. Like opponents will get bruises all over, but if he were more focused he probably could have tko:d more?
why do you call it switch kick? Switch kick is when you change stance from left to right or right to left and then kick with your back leg. What buakaw does is standard roundhouse kick to the head nothing is switched there, you can often see a simple roundhouse kick from front leg to the head or body.
He uses both switch kick and non switch kick, the switch kick you swap your feets as fast as possible to land a long kick, and the non switch kick is often used for close range PS: Sorry for the bad english, that is my second language and I'm still learning it
It’s called a switch kick because if you’re orthodox you’d use your right leg to throw a kick naturally. So if you’re kicking with your left you’re effectively switching stances. It may not be obvious because you’re switching the feet really fast. But you can also throw a switch kick with simply stepping forward with your right leg instead of doing the typical switch.
I find it hard to fully respect any art where they literally stand there in front of each other and simply beat the crap out of each other. It seems so antithetical to all logical martial sense. It's one tiny step above Roshambo.
@@sociallypatterneddefect9580 I don't know what sport you're watching, or how short your memory for broken ribs, broken legs, broken jaws, knock outs and deaths, but yes, that's exactly what they're doing.

Lawrence. Awesome! Making us so much better in understanding different tools.
He’s the man and a straight up brawler too.
he loves to exchange!
spamming is super underrated in striking, when it works IT WORKS

Throwing in general is underrated. Fighters get too scared and defensive and don't let themselves flow
Look at Dricus
