Having an opportunity to fighting more and experiencing judging is highly educational for especially fencers that have around intermediate level. I wish I could come but because of economical reasons i can not attend this year. Maybe next year (i hope). Have a good luck.
First like? That's hard to believe. Sounds good though. Like, very interesting. Not sure I like it or not, but very curious to see how it plays out. Hope you guys get lots of attendees and get to put up a youtube video talking about the pros/cons after. Not particularly into one-handed stuff, but sounds fun. Wish I could make it out there! Maybe some day.
Love the commitment to arming sword and keeping the weapons standardized! Other than that, we've done plenty of tournaments here that involve fighters judging other pools. It's not as great as it sounds. :(
We have a very good schedule for the judging in a way that should make it quite bearable for judges/fighters. Also, no one will be excluded, we have the format planned in such a way that everyone who fights, judges.
The Sigi Junior I am holding is 1,15 kg. I also have an old Albion I.33, which is 1,18. This is about average for arming swords of the period, good weight for having a sword that has authority, but doesn't hit too hard or is too hard to handle.

Thank you! That's the goal :)

We will! Hopefully, if it goes well, it will become a yearly thing :)

Love it. I wonder what will the people with "I paid for this shit, judge my fights you filthy peasants!" mentality say about it.
They won't register and we will never see them :D. Besides, we are giving them the opportunity to get better at judging for free :P
Boris, may I know what is the weight of your AS? Look forward to seeing your tournament highlights.
