That's awesome Ed! What is the name of the boat you're looking at? Understand if you don't want to say here...but there are only a couple in SB other than mine.

Happy with the Streamlight LED Spotlight?

That spotlight is awesome...I use it all the time on the boat, but haven't had to use it for a navigation aid yet. It is super bright.

I'm curious about what kind of mileage you get... And what was your reasoning for the 381 over the 350 or 410? Congrats on your new purchase, it looks great.

I haven't had a chance to really figure mileage on this particular boat since I bought it so late in the season. Averages of reports say 1mpg at 16-18mph, less faster, closer to 1.5mpg at below hull speeds. I looked at one 410, but just out of curiosity...too long for my slip. Three things kept me from looking at the 350...one, the forward V-berth...I wanted two staterooms, and a V-berth doesn't qualify (for me). Two, I wanted windshield ventilation for the cockpit (and the cockpit is just much larger on the 381). And three, I wanted the side entry door on the 381 for an optional boarding, and it gives a fourth option of egress in an emergency...plus is adds a huge amount of airflow.

@@WiscoBoater well thanks for that, it makes a lot of sense. I hope to do what you have done in a couple of years, so thanks for the very informative videos, esp. the survey. Have a good one.

You paint your toes? Is that a boating thing?

It’s not a boating thing…more of a support for a way of life thing. 👍🏻👍🏻 Much love for everyone.
