Yeah, the whole soundtrack is full of NIN, Front 242, Frontline Assembly and Revolting Cocks influences, was really sad when I heard Nightdive Studios' remake soundtrack and it had absolutely none of those influences in it. :(

Awesome remix. Odd to think, even though I think sshock is probably one of the best games ever made, here I am as an adult listening to the sound track. Wish they'd do a remake of this game. This game used to scare the living shit out of me when I'd sit with my dad and play it.
@medigilclafouti What's the sound problem? I never had any issues with sound at all. (A side note, this was recorded from Foobar2000, not the actual game, though it does sound somewhat close)
@MGMan37 Sorry, meant to say BASSMIDI doesn't support MIDI In, not out. So it has the same problem Timidity does if I don't use MIDI Yoke. Shame, too, because I like BASSMIDI a lot better.
@medigilclafouti I used BASSMIDI for a while but ended up going back to Timidity because unless I was using something like MIDI Yoke to send info to Timidity (instead of having DOSBOX use it directly) the game would pause for a few seconds whenever a new section of music would load (which was probably every 8 seconds or so) Since BASSMIDI doesn't support MIDI Out to use Yoke, I don't use it. It does sound better indeed than Timidity. I believe Foobar2000 even uses BASSMIDI.
Anyone notice the delightful influence from Nine Inch Nails' "Head Like a Hole"?
Holy maccheroni! That's *spot on* in terms of how similar they sound!
Now it's more similar to it with WeedsGM3 soundfont.

I think SGM and Unison are overall best soundfonts for shock1.
Can we get a download link please? :)
I want to try out my car stereo with this one! ;)

How did you set foobar2000 to use the Weeds soundfont?
Is it wrong to ask for a 10 hour version of this? ;)
