At 2:45 you could have taken that rook as the bishop on a3 is pinning the knight to the king , and that would have been checkmate.

There are just so many traps and tricky combinations that you basically blunder pawns and pieces till u are 2000

The spectacular move that white missed in the first game was by killing the rook on 8c and checkmate because the knight would still be pinned by the 3a bishop

2:25 the rook move was a blunder for another reason. If the queen takes the rook, the knight cannot take as the king would be in check.

Bro 2:28 queen takes rook is checkmate, because the knight is pinned
i never thought i would ever be watching chess memes. i just got to my life peak
The first game is not mate:
Black can play Nc8 to block the check.
After White does Qxc8, then Black is in check again.
Black can do Ke7 to escape the check, which he couldn't do prior to the Knight sacrifice because the Knight was in the way.
This is the only way I saw that Black could escape mate.
Edit: Nevermind; the position is still not mate, but after Nc8 and Qxc8, it's mate because Rook is preventing Ke7 and Black can't do Kg7 because of pawn, neither can he do Kf7 because of pawn again.
