Any time I got tennis elbow I wore an elbow support for a while, then I wore it till I was warmed up , took it off. After a month or so it gone. Now playing Luxilon Savage at 18 kg no problem.
I like Black Widow, even though it can be a bit too powerful in some of my frames. I have it now in my CX200 Tour. If you like it, and its price point, you should give Tourna Big Hitter Black and Silver Tour a chance. Big Hitter Black is very similar to BW, Silver Tour being a tad firmer but holding tension really well.
Thanks for your comment Jii Big Hitter Black sounds like it would be a great fit for me. I’ll be doing some more string reviews in the future so stay tuned for those! Thanks for watching and supporting the channel!
Great comparisons and will have to try it. I’m playing with TB Soft 18 for matches, I’ll use it for 2 matches then demote it to just a hitting racket for a few more sessions that aren’t as important. Then string up the other racket fresh for the next match!
Been using it for more than 5 yrs now I go for my regular tension if i do have tournaments and higher tension in training and in tune up games String tension easily drops
Hey Pierre that’s a great suggestion I’ll look into the Hepta twist! You can see me hitting with this string in my previous video, the forehand drills one. Thanks for watching and I appreciate the string suggestion.
Been using this fullbed of poly for i think 5 years now. I agree about that lower tension drop but usually mine would take longer than a week. But it is a durable arm friendly string with good spin and control
@@UserIsM it really dependa on your playing style and how much you play. I play more flat than spin and drive the ball forward and play like 2 to 3 times a week. I'd probably restring it about a month later haha.
I also restring it probably way to late 🫣 but I like the way it plays over time as it loosens up. I had mine in about a month and a half playing twice a week
I just got into trying out some new strings. Been using Alu for so long, but it’s fun to see what’s out there. I’ll have to make the string reviews a regular part of the channel. Thanks for watching and supporting 🙌🏻
@@MikeKomen You played quite a large role in getting the VCORE 95 on my radar, for which huge thanks. A second opinion on some choice alternatives to the really expensive strings would be fantastic. Good luck with your channel :]
Pre-stretching would probably help some with the tension loss, Head Primal was one string setup that I didn't care for lately, it felt strange to me, kinda mushy, I like Head Hawk strings at mid high tension, great review and video thanks so much!!! Great job 👍 thanks!!
Polys aren't normally pre-stretched. A stretched polyester becomes a totally different string as its elasticity changes. Leave pre-stretching for multis and and natural & syn gut.
@@jiitee3215 There's no hard rule, it comes down to personal preference, a little pre-stretching of a poly that's a bit too lively has worked out great for me!
@@nathanmiller6051 Yeah, sure, I've done it too several times. As long as you're aware of the possibility that the stretched string might no longer feel anything like the unstretched.
Finally somebody wrote a new review of this "old" string, I thought I was the only one outhere still using it hahaha! I have been playing it last couple of years in my RF97A hybriding it with syngut crosses and got plenty of spin, power, elbow friendliness. I tried to change the string a couple of times (Cyclone, Heptatwist, MSV Hex all of them, Solinco Confidential recently...) thinking that I might be missing out on something new but keep returning back to Black Widow. I just demoed Tour Bite Soft today and it felt like playing with a wall in my hand, so stiff compared to this string. I plan to try Yonex Poly Tour Pro in a couple of days, do you have any suggestions?
Thanks for another great video. Question: with all things being equal (string tension, thickness) if the numbers on Tennis Warehouse for stiffness rating are the same will the Multi or the Poly have the same comfort level or will the Poly always cause more stress on elbows, wrist etc. Just curious. Thank you and keep making the videos!
Thanks for the support Sandy! From my experience the poly will always be harder on the arm, but who knows where the tech will go in the future, the polys are getting better and better. I’ll keep em coming! Thanks for watching
Currently, it is a coincidence that the string I am using. I am enjoying it but I still prefer solinco confidential I think I feel the ball better but of course it is a personal matter.
It’s middle of the road. Not the best but not the worst. From my experience I can get a solid two weeks of consistent hitting before I’m noticing the drop in tension. Hope that helps Anubhav!
Hey do u think this is a better choice than the volkl cyclone for the arm ( I don’t have any arm problems I just want to see which u think is better ) thank you 🙏
Haven’t tried the cyclone yet unfortunately! I’ve got confidential to string up next then I’ll try it when those break. Been tough though a lot of courts are closed in my area :( thanks so much for watching though!
Hey Shriram, I haven't tired the Signum string so I'm not much help there sorry. As for pairing it with a stiffer frame I think it would work well to soften it up a bit. Thanks for watching!
@@MikeKomen tks. I have a strong baseline Eastern forehand game. And the signum pro really enhances my aggressive shots n serve. But it is harsh on the arm. Looking for a string with similar characteristics that can be softer.
KomenTennis keeps tension longest. Exceptional feel. I dont want lively, soft strings. All depends on raquet as well. But it seems to be the string i always return to play with. Bit pricey up front but hey last. Just tied Luxilon Smart in my new Clash 98 which is also a fine string( for now)
What’s your string choice?
i am thinking of using the tourna silver 7 tour but it s giving me tennis elbow :)
Ouf yeah you don’t want to mess with tennis elbow! Nothing worse than watching people play while you ice your arm!

Solinco Hyper G 16L :)
The green machine! 💪🏻
Just used it these past months. Boy, I was surprised how comfortable yet more controlable than I suspected!
Glad the recommendation was a good one. I'm still using it!
I currently using this string and I love ti. It gives me so mutch spin and control, it have so mutch feel on shots.
1k subs!!!!! congrats.
Thank you! Very appreciative of everyone who watches and supports the channel 🙌🏼
Yeahhhh
Lately I've tried Volkl Cyclone, Solinco Tour Bite and about to give Technifibre Black Code 4S a go. I'll stick this on the list. :]
How is your test progressing?
I tried this string after watching your video and I really like it! Thanks

My dad’s string of choice . He has been faithful to it since 2008. Super cheap and really good feel!

At the Slice, we like Volkl Cyclone and GrappleSnake Tour Sniper
If “Tour Sniper” ain’t the best name for a string I don’t know what is haha
Love the black widow 👍 I play it at 22 kg on my Wilson Clash pro V2
Still my favourite!

Great video....you and hoptimist rock!
Thank you! The hoptimist helps bring the hoppy energy I need for these videos 😁
Going to try it. Will let you know what I think
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
might cop this to compare it to the kirschbaum pro line 2
I’m still loving it. Going to try the confidential next though, see what the hype is about.
You should try the MSV Hepta Twist. Same kind of string and cheaper than Black Widow :-). Too bad we didn't see you playing with this string.

Great string for the price and it's much softer than rpm or cyclone to me.
100%

Black widow vs hyper G what’s the difference which one do you like better
Hyper g is more lively and explosive while the black widow is softer and imo more predictable. Hope that helps!

How good is the tension maintenance for this one ? Like how many hrs of play before one replaces it ?

In wich tensions do you sting your hybrid?
What tension would you recommend with this on a 16x19 Pure Strike 98. I have tried the Black Widow 17G at 50lbs on a Pure Aero before.
