Hi Stacey. It's me again😊. Bell peppers are male and female. Male have 3 lumps at the bottom and they are milder, zestier because they do not reproduce. Best for sauteing/ soups and stews. Female peppers on the other hand have 4 lumps at the bottom, a ton of seeds so that they can reproduce, and are best for consuming raw. They are significantly sweeter, making them perfect for salads and to dip your homemade hummus with. Ethylene is what's making your fruit/veg ripen so quickly. Ethylene rich fruits (apples, avocados, pears, tomatoes) should be kept away from ethylene sensitive veggies ( broccoli, cauliflower, leafy greens). 🌶️🥗 Enjoy. Chef Chic ✌️

A tip I've learnt is to store jars (particularly sauces and spreds) in the fridge upside down. It stops mould growing around the lid and makes food last longer ... just I had recently came across the tip and thought I would share it 😁😁😁 p.s another great vlog x

Just dont do that with jars that you are reusing from like marinara sauce or whatever. Food shouldnt touch the lids because of the chemicals they put on the inside of those lids. Mason jars Im sure are different though.

Hey BriyerRose, she's just starting to need those types of items again. Someone sent her a care package with a bulk amount of personal items and I think that is the big reason we don't see much of it. She mentioned in her last budget video that she's going to be doing another big bulk purchase soon because that system worked well for her. I'm with you though I'd love for her to share when she does!

Hey Stacy! Here's a tip for your pantry: You can get a small "lazy Susan" turntable for your spices/sauces or a larger one for some of your mason jars. They can stay on the lazy susan and as you turn it you can see all of your items. It'll save on the the horizontal spaces and make more use of the depth : ) I'm a professional organizer and always recommend "lazy Susans" for clients with smaller kitchens ; ) Hope it works for you! :D

It has been sticking with me when you were in the wine aisle lol.. When you were talking about having no issue before grocery shopping coz you knew what you needed and were done is the same way I feel about clothes right now. I've been definitely minimal in what I wear up until this year. Now that I'm committed to looking and feeling better, I realize I need what feels "extra" to support myself in this transition... Similar to how your working out is making you need to eat more/other food to find a balance.

When I lived in the states I used that peanut butter too! It really does give smoothies, shakes, etc. a whole new life. It's not bad as actual peanut butter, too. Lol. I also use Stash tea! My favorite is the spice dragon red chai which is the herbal version to the one you have because I have gastritis and my stomach can't handle black coffee/tea's or lots of caffeine. I recently found on iHerb that they have it as something that can be shipped to Japan, so I snatched that up quickly. Hahaha.

I agree Stacey, powdered peanut butter is balm. Great with shakes & you can use it to spread on toast by adding a bit of water till you get the correct thickness you prefer. I used to get heart burn from the peanut oil from regular peanut butter but I no longer have that issue with the peanut powder. Also with dark chocolate one can make yummy layered healthier peanut butter cups too.

Hi love your videos! A cheap side you could try is balsamic caramelised red onions; super easy and quick and cheap! Bulk make either in large work or instant pot and keep in tupperware in fridge. Also, mustard spring greens. Here in the UK spring greens are like 80p for a massive bunch, i shred these, toast of some mustard seeds and satue with garlic powder. Finally garliky-thyme mushrooms . Slide loads of mushrooms with thyme and garlic powder and keep. Top to salads or use as sides. Alternatively to could buy a pack of mini portabellos and roast these with fresh thyme and olive oil and fresh garlic in a big batch. All super cheap and low -cal options bur yummy. Keep up the hauls so inspirational.

WOW! $5K!! Whoot-whoot! First HOW are you feeling? Are you feeling better? Hope so!! Oh, when you make your pasta, add some of your canned salmon in there with it. Extra protein, and yum. Your spaghetti squash would be yummy with some garlic & oil and a side of steak. Have you tried the Mezzetti roasted bell peppers that have garlic and oregano in with them? So, yum, and really enhance dishes. Also, try adding a touch of vanilla and some fruit to your oats, that may kick it up to allow you to enjoy it. If you cut your spaghetti squash lengthwise, then roast, just drag your fork down from end to end, to loosen the "thread" and you have "spaghetti". (Do your research on tilapia, it's really not that good for you, BUT, I'm sure budget is an issue, no hate, just love). Also, check your protein powder, a lot is made with whey which is a dairy product. If you are lactose intolerant, that could be an issue.

Heard you say that you wasn't eating as many black beans lately. You may just need a break from them for a while. I did the same thing with hummus. I ate it everyday for a while and got tired of it. I am back to eating it now but just not as much

That's very thoughtful of you to not recommend protein powder. I bought some based on a recommendation and almost had to go to the emergency department!!! It just did not agree with me at all ( I believe it was the whey). PS..Im addicted to powdered peanut butter as well :) Great video as usual

Is a serving of that protein powder actually one cup? That seems like a lot. Or do you mean you use 1 tbsp peanut butter powder per serving of protein powder? Just curious, but any brand of plant based protein powder that I've used has been typically 2-4 tbsp per serving. BTW I love that peanut butter powder too, and you can get that size of PB Fit at Walmart for less than $10.

For the oats you can blend them up with some banana and egg and make pancakes that way or you can mashup banana and peanut butter and add oats for banana peanut oat cookies

Try sautéing some of your peppers, garlic and onion in a little olive oil with some spinach and mix in some pasta. This could be a main or side dish depending on the amount you make.

I love tea as well and if you have never heard of DavidsTea (that is how it is spelled😊), I think you would DEFINITELY love them. I get the loose leaf teas personally, but they do carry pre-packed teas as well . They have a HUGE variety of teas from organic, detox, wellness and even tea for colds! I love them and the variety is insane, plus they have a shop in the Water Tower Place and of course, online.
