In today's video I’m spending a much needed day indoors to take care of the high traffic areas of our house. Much needed because I’ve been absolutely living outside (I love it!) and completely neglecting my house….also, I’ve gotten a bit too much sun. ☀️
I started off by using some herbs from my small kitchen garden to make a summer simmer pot. I used lavender, spearmint, mint, and rosemary along with a few lemon slices and added them to simmering water over the stovetop. It was a light, fresh scent that infused the air all day while I got my cleaning done. How fun! 🌿

I can’t tell you how good it felt to get all these things taken care of. Cleaning on a nice summer day is hard for me but totally worth it! ☀️

Using a squeegee makes clean windows a breeze, and you don’t get streaks best part
@@carolfranklin5296 I agree! I have one and use that method also. It’s funny because I find myself using the squeegee on the outside and this way inside mostly for whatever reason. 😊
Hey great video! How do you deal with bugs and spiders do you suck them up as you vacuum? Did you vacuum any in this video?
Thank you! Normally we don’t deal with too many bugs BUT we just had an outbreak of these little black bugs that get into the house. It happens every summer to our entire neighborhood and this is the only place I’ve ever experienced them. We all think it could be a certain tree or maybe the lake… I just did an interior/exterior spray so had lots of dead bugs to vacuum in the windows. I’ve been vacuuming or sweeping them then wiping down the surfaces in case they’ve left a residue. I probably need to use some caulk to reseal some of my windows. Hope this helps! 😊
