If ur In america there a product called pledge future it's sold in super markets target walmart they keep changing the packaging last I saw it had blue boots on the cove and when u turn it around it sAys Acrylic protection all u have to do is just cover the part and hang it to dry people use this as a deep clear as well can be applied with a brush or spayed with air brush but keep in mind if u do the brush or even dip method I would l let it dry for at least a couple of days before u start really handling it it will be dry in one day but some people get something called spidering in the clear when handled to fast really depends how much u put on
Thank you so much for the guide! How often would you say you’d have to clean your airbrush? After a session of airbrushing or when changing airbrush colors?
well I know for certain it's coming out sort of clumpy, I just don't know how much thinner to use per cup. I figured I'd start with the interior first since its less visible for imperfections.
I would like to start with airbrush, but I have no clue where to start. I have a few questions. What should I buy, and what do you recommend? I need what you need to airbrush. Do you need a spray booth? and how does that work. Also I dont want to spend very much money, but i want a good airbrush, and the other things I need. Is there a kit or something with compresor you can recommend? Thanks
I reccomend a Harder & steenbeck 2 in 1 EVO You will definitly need a spray booth, i have a sparmax booth if you don't want to spend a lot of money, airbrushing is not or you, it takes a good chunk of money for a good quality setup, just an estimate airbrush 150 ish booth150 ish compressor starting from somewhwere around 150(small air tank) up to 400(big air tank) ish to have a good one.
I know it is expensive, but i ment not A lot money though. Thank you for answer! also when you wait for paint do dry after you use a airbrush do you just leave the airbrush and clean it after the whole process or do you clean it after each coat?
This may sound silly but whats the name for the thing you use at 2:30 to ad a few drops of cleaner? Im trying to find one but I can't figure out the right name for it to search for it. Lol
Thanks for the tutorial. Are there tips and tricks in keeping the clear parts free of scratches? It seems like everytime i mask it to put the window edges on, the parts where i masked is a tiny bit hazy, and when i try to clean it. I end up scratching it.
I noticed that in your 2018 videos you're using the other type of Harder and Steenbeck Evolution without the O-rings. Do you prefer that one over this model shown here? And is the other one, I think it is chrome instead of nickel plated, easier to clean?
Thanks for the tutorial, very helpful! I ended up ordering that Tamiya Painting Stand Set from Japan, now I'm waiting to get my portable spray booth. I have a question about primer, I will be shooting an Aoshima Datsun 720 Pickup Truck but the Tamiya Grey Primer seems to be a little on the thick side. Do you have any recommendation as to how much thinner to use to thin it out a bit, or should I not thin it out at all? I will be starting with the interior first just to get my feet wet. Thanks again for your advice!
Does it not kinda depend on what you are after? If you want to lay down a basecoat you keep it further from the model, and if you freehand say Camo pattern, you want to pull back lightly on the trigger and keep it closer?
Using the corresponding brand of airbrush cleaner to paint is just a bad and expensive idea. Paint is paint, and cleaners are cleaners. As long as it is the type of cleaner for the type of paint (ammonia based cleaner for acrylics for example), then brand means nothing besides price. Windex works and is recommended by air brush manufacturers.

Any 1/12 Tamiya motorcycle kits in future builds. Would like to see how you do one.
Great tutorial as always...thanks for demonstrating, you make it look very easy...
Thank you so much for the guide! How often would you say you’d have to clean your airbrush? After a session of airbrushing or when changing airbrush colors?
Idealy, both

Do you only do this thorough cleaning before shooting clear?
No, also after i am done with painting

Can you use acetone or pain thinner if I just used a mixed paint from a body shop to match my card oem color?
Thanks for these instructions! Do you also use vaseline or lube on the needle and trigger?
I don’t
I use a micro amount of bees wax

flyingchicken33 Before putting the clear parts on you can polish or wax them to shine them back up ;)
will paint thinner works like the airbrush cleaner? or what could I use if I can't find the airbrush cleaner? thx
The thinner of he same sort as the paint could work yes,

They work the same. Feel the same. Clean the same. This one was just cheaper
How many times do you clean your airbrush? Always after you need another color? Or more / less than that?
Inbetween a color change and when i am done with painting
You clean it between colors by spraying cleaner and using a brush. A tear down like this, you do after a painting session.
Thanks for the tutorial. This will help a lot.......JIM
How do you put the air brush trigger back in ?
I`m using nailcleaner without aceton (by kruidvat or local drogist) and it`s a lot cheaper and it works perfectly also with paint as Alclad etc.
it is good indeed, but its not good for removing enamel colors (Of course not airbrushing) like Revell.
Thanks a bunch for this!
hi, its that possible i use 0.5mm to airbrush my car model ?how's the effect ? my friends gift me a airbrush. As i would like to start use airbrush :)

+THEBOOGIESHOP If you think its to thick, thin it. if your not sure, just try it without thinning and add thinners until your happy.
can you build a 1970 charger or challenger that would be cool
Hi! What airbrush are you cleaning in this video?
Thanks for putting this up!
Harder & steenbeck evo 2 in 1
Citroen 2cv if you I’ve one
Could you do a video tutorial on how far to hold the airbrush from the model?
+awash2004 I would if i could, I actualy have no set distance. i just do what feels right. i think its about 15/25 cm away.....
The Scalemodeling Channel OK so about 8 to 10 inches?
I think so
+The Scalemodeling Channel OK

The rubber gaskets are destroyed after many disassemblies 😔
Then buy the rubber replacement set they sell ;)

Excellent instructional content, but the background music is incredibly annoying and steals attention away from your narration.
