I mean, the Mateba Autorevolver (as seen used by Togusa from the Ghost in the Shell series) is also a pistol that fires lower than normal pistols do (from the bottom chamber instead of the top chamber of most other revolvers). Heck, the guy who designed the Mateba Model 6 Unica (aka "Mateba" or "Mateba Autorevolver") also designed the Chiappa Rhino as well some 10-11 years later.
Frontline foam is known for their sloppy services, many people seems to have problems with their products that they ordered like cutting corners and having you to find stuff on your own
Yeah i got a zinc 2.0 from them a while ago, their shipping took ages and the print quality was garbage. Was good enough to function, but the aesthetics are far from optimal

There is something better, the gun looks way more realistic but isn't that powerful (similar to the strongarm), and has the same gimmick as the "colt" u had, and ejects shells. (Also includes recoil and way cheaper)
If it came from frontline foam then don't drop it. The original design was supposed to be PETG with 6+ walls, and they use PLA with 2 walls and 20% infill leading to a very brittle blaster.

I feel like the priming issue could be resolved with a set of rubber bands to pull the blaster back into battery, or a secondary spring to push the slide back. and maybe add a laser sight to it(if allowed for competitions that is) Other than that it looks real good for a "gen one realistic look foam dart blaster" style, that could be fine tuned as the maker learns from the earlier ones and adapts it to the later production ones.
It seems like an awful lot of money though when you can get a £20 (roughly $25-$27) airsoft spring that has the same realistic features of a replica pistol but better.
You should try out the flypoint. It's definitely the most john wick thing you can get for nerf. It's completely semi-auto so you don't have to worry about priming it. It's really the closest nerd gun to a real steel gun.
I wonder if anyone has ever made a gas blow back nerf gun, similar to how gas blow back airsoft guns function. I would love to see someone try to tackle that challenge.

I really dont think it is. If you just want to play in your backyard you could buy 2 60 dollar guns for you and a friend for 30 dollars less than one of these. The cheaper airsoft guns dont really hurt very much if their shooting under 300fps so that doesn't matter either. If you spent 150 on an airsoft gun instead of this you could buy an all metal gun that will shoot 50 yards semi accurate.

Legit Bread (can I just call you LB or Legit for short?), try sanding down the top of the blaster where the slide rides along, as well as the inside of the slide, but don’t overdo the sanding, just get the surface smooth. Then smear on a thin coating of all purpose grease, or bearing grease, most grease will work, but if you put too much on, it’ll attract a lot of crap. Then try priming the blaster, and when you “wear it in”, it’ll get even smoother and easier, and if that’s not enough, try the 8kg spring, then it should be super smooth and light.
Getting your hands on an injection molder itself without the mold alone is already expensive And I don’t think you realize that 3d printing is still high quality- it just requires the right type of film
Um no the zinc 2.0 is like a mechanical marvel making it semi auto would be almost impossible also injection molding would make it like $220 and also the labor required to make a zinc 2.0 isn't easy

It honestly looks like a hipoint nerf blaster. It is around the same price point as a hipoint too. Except a hipoint shoots 9x19 while this shoots 13x38
All we need now is black paint and "nerf" can be more realistic than airsoft. The size of a half length dart is closer to what a real gun has, than airsofters plastic balls. I know we can't compete in performance, but when it comes to a realistic gun feel, we're very close.
Problem is this hobby still enjoys being able to play in public settings without getting swatted by police because some Karen thought players were running around with actual firearms.

You can get a pretty good quality blowback bb pistol for less money than this. Sorry nerf, but I'm not going back to foam any time soon. Obviously this wouldn't work for nerf wars, but if you want to feel like John wick, a semi auto, metal bb gun is the way to go.

Try to put a little bit of silicone oil in the gap between the slide and the body, will not inhance prime strength But will make it smoother.

Some Airsoft guns have casings for the bbs so it looks real. They usually are in revolvers and shotguns.

AAP-01 is like $80, fully automatic, proper blowback, and is made of real polymer and not 3d printed crap that breaks after 15 minutes.

You can get a pretty good quality blowback bb pistol for less money than this. Sorry nerf, but I'm not going back to foam any time soon.
Obviously this wouldn't work for nerf wars, but if you want to feel like John wick, a semi auto, metal bb gun is the way to go.
