    I love Benesh/Partain partnership. I hope they last long as partners. They'r young, talented, very humble ad professional. They remind me of Mol/Sorum. Goodluck to this team!

    Loved the simplified birds-eye view breakdown during the (possibly effective) defense at the end.
    Would love to see more of that when you're discussing strategy 👍

    The over on 2 is nice and dandy, but what shocked me the most, watching Miles and Andy play live is how well they are prepared for every match for their oponents.
    Whom and how to serve, what to block, how to defend.
    They are kicking way above the class with proper preparation and tactical awarness.

    Extremely insightful! Great content! Definitely seeing several teams trying to emulate this type of play but so hard to succeed at.

    Love this content. Advancing the defence of the on two option is the next level plays. Hendrick Mol also has some good alternatives when serving. Keep up the content. ❤❤❤

    Serving deep in the "husband and wife" seam is probably the best bet to try and fuck things up for teams that run a lot of option hitting. That's gonna give the most disadvatageous angle of approach for the option hitter, with the ball coming from almost behind the inside shoulder. Pretty difficult to deal with.

      Probably too obvious to even point it out. These days pretty much the entire beach volleyball world is working on the jump set offense because of the Swedes

    • @cybermanne

      That's who they were talking about at the end when they were trying to figure out a way to beat this option hitting tactics. Personally I don't see how having two blockers on the net would be a problem for the offense. The option hitter would just dink the ball over the the blocker towards the base line and nobody would be there in defense.

    Interesting video! The leg kickout thing sounds weird, but of course one has to go out and try and see now! 😅
    Wonder if the best blockers in the future will be the ones that are tall enough to be a threat without a max jump, at the same time as they are quick and agile at moving to the side after a smaller 70% jump on the first block..? (Thinking the full jump puts the blocker in the air for so long that landing and moving to the side gets delayed too much if that wasn't obvious!)

      With pro beach athletes being as big as they are it's not going away.
      It's always been crazy effective but It's (finally) become more widespread in use. It will still be the new hotness for a bit until defense learns to to adapt and then it will be another tool in the arsenal of unexpected attacks.

    Might need a rule change.....after a jump set the shot has to land within the ten foot line or its a side out......cause it's so unfairrrrrrr😆

  • @zanechi

    It’s not about Swedes here. They play this style of offense very well. But they didn’t invent it. Carambula and a small size player from Australia have been using this technique for a long time. And now many teams are working on it to neutralize the blocker.

    • @5toplak
      @5toplak Год назад +2

      Carambula have never really jump set on beach afaik. Do not know about Australia, I cannot find any video or post confirming this. It was DEFINETELY swedes that perfected this tactic. Its also the hand setting FIVB guidelines that are little less strict on doubles than they used to be which made this possible. I wonder if US men beach players will finally make at least into top 30 in the near future with this lol.

    • @cybermanne
      @cybermanne Год назад +1

      @@5toplak Yeah, the rule changes are for sure a big factor in this. When I first started playing beach volleyball back in the late 80s in Sweden most players would bump set unless it was the perfect pass and they had perfect balance to hand set the ball. You would get called for a lift or double contact if you tried anything fancy. lol
