Hi Juani, thanks for the gizmo!! it's a great alternative to Tony Lyons template!! Also how did you add a saturation slider to the viewer :D ??? Can you share the setup?
What happens when apDespill doesn't make a clean alpha? I have this footage where after applying apDespil and then Blendspill I can't see almost anything from the background (because apDespill didn't make a clean black and white alpha, like in your case). What do I do then?
It might be confusing but I'm not creating the alpha in this video, I did that before in preparation for this tutorial. You can watch a keying tutorial to see how to do that.
@@JuaniLomonaco Ok, I know how to do that (creating an alpha)...but from your video I was confused on how you create an alpha using just Blendspill (and I tried on a video and it didn't do that, hence my confusion).
I'm testing this out on a shot, and I'm getting a noisy result that I'm guessing has to do with colorspace settings. I'm using log footage. I've tried tweaking the apDespill color settings, but haven't gotten anything better yet. Any ideas?
@@SteveErnst117 hmm it's difficult to diagnose without seeing it but I can think of a few things: - your alpha or your spill information is noisy - your alpha is not clean, and it has values larger than 0 (even if they are 0.0001) in areas that should be black - your footage has compression artifacts so a blocky chroma component you could try tweaking the spill blur and the spill bias. but I guess you've already tried that.
Can you make a tutorial about the inner workings? All the shuffles dont work for me. And also do you have a coffee tip or patreon? Thanks for the great Gizmo!🎉
How beautiful when an artist shares knowledge and creates tools for the community. A genius this man
it feels like spin spill correct but on steroids, fixing all its problems!
thank you!
Somehow my algorithm got me in and I'm blown away! One of the most helpful compositing tutorial I've seen lately!

So good! Would love to rebuild this for Flame if you would share the details of how you built it?

did you denoise the footage?
Yeah i did

@@JuaniLomonaco the noise I’m getting is in areas that are white in the alpha, it’s as if the despill is being too aggressive.
Hy great gizmo ❤😊 thnks ❤
can u plz share the link

sorry, what do you mean by that? No coffee tip or patreon but thanks a lot!
have you tasted the tool with a comp that Lightwrap has to be done on the FG?
Yes many times without issue. After Blendspill. I guess it depends on the shot though.
🐐
