mine is reversed for some reason it pulls air instead of blows it. Never mind, I figured it out, you can flip the entire internal fan assembly inside the frame! mine doesn't vibrate but it needs dusted and lubed. I found it at Salvation Army for $60 and I immediately bought it for the atheistic alone even though I had no idea what it was.
I have this same fan, I got it from somewhere either the side of the road or landfill I can't remember something is open because it doesn't run and I never got into diagnosing what it was it's probably that external speed transformer, mine actually has the metal side curtains with the chrome handles to block the window sides I got to check it out see why it doesn't run hopefully it's not the motor and I could just put a fan dimmer switch on it in place of the factory switch if I can't fix the coil. They blow a ton of air.
Wow! For a trash find with the curtains that’s amazing! If it never runs I’d be willing to purchase those curtains off of you. What shape are they in? Edit: not sure putting a fan dimmer on it is such a great idea but give it a try it might work. Also you could just bypass the coil and try it that way. Or pull a coil from a busted fan.
@@fanawb I have the same fan as a floor mount model that a friend gave me and it's been running on a dimmer for years now, as long as you get the right wattage and input or horsepower or whatever it was I'll regular light switch dimmer won't work but it has to be a fan dimmer with the right wattage and it works so I've proved that theory I just have to do it if the motor is open then that's a different story.
