owen v b u might want to use a fly popper or a fly if u just want to clear but i u want the bigger size ones use minnows a sinking one or a rubber minnow or just a popper frog

Do you need some kind of fishing license to fish in sg? And what does legal and illegal spot means and how do i know if it's legal or not?
No need for license, you can check PUB website on fishing grounds to learn about the legal spot. Not much regulations, but please do practice catch & release for all Peacock Bass & Tomans.

You can just crimp the barb down with a pair of pliers, no need to use genuine barbless hooks
