I was good friends with Chris Tucker for a couple years before this came out, and he had NO IDEA that it would be what it became. He'd already shot "Dead Presidents," and he was SO excited to have done a movie with the guys (Hughes Brothers) who made "Menace II Society," (which was coming out in October) and all of his career thoughts were about that, so when we went to the premiere for "Friday" in April, there weren't a whole lot of expectations. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised. It's almost impossibly cute to think about it now, but the next day, (the day "Friday" came out), Chris and I went to the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood (where the premiere had been the night before.) It was the middle of the day, but he still made me jump out of his Land Cruiser (what he was driving at the time) and ask the box office person how the sales were going. A pair of young people happened to be buying tickets for "Friday" - and I directed them to Chris - who was illegally parked while waiting for me. They were overjoyed to meet him, and he was beyond happy that they were buying tickets. His life completely changed after that movie came out (no argument about that), but nobody who was around at the time could have predicted it 🙂... as evidenced by the fact that Chris never did any of the Friday sequels; his career outgrew the 'hood just that quick 🤷🏽♀️.

4:55 ive watched this movie no exaggeration at least like 50 times and i NEVER noticed the man sleeping in her bed🤣🤣🤣
2:17 Did y’all miss maybe the most famous internet line? “He gon cry in the car”
🤣🤣💀💀 hahahaha I swear this movie will forever have me in fits, it makes it even better when others watch it 🤣🤣 loooove this so much.
Man you kinda talked over all the references 😂😂but glad you liked it
The guy who gets knocked out is DJ POOH real life bestfriend of ice cube who also help write the movie! Yeah this movie was a spark plug for almost every cast member except Mr.WitherSpoon he was already certified 🙌🏻
Scarface. The movie Tucker was quoting was Scarface.
I thought so ! I just didn’t wanna say it and be wrong we haven’t seen that either !
22:47 That's LaVita "Alize" Jenkins from the Steve Harvey Show!
When an actor or actress looks directly into the camera it's called "breaking the 4th wall".
I never thought of this until I saw a post about it but Craig literally said he went to get his check yesterday he should’ve had the money😭😂
California min wage in 95 was $4.25/hr. Even if he worked 40hrs, that would come out to $170. After taxes probably $125
Fifth Element is a must watch if you like Chris Tucker. He is soo over the top in it.
That’s gonna be one of the next ones !
Also, Tiny Lister (Deebo) is in that film as the president.
"That's ok. She'll be back" is from Scarface
“Maybe he has a savings, he went inside”. 😅😂😅
That guy who pretended too slipped on the floor he also passed away a few yrs ago
Every reactors/reactions are different, which is very cool! This is the 3rd time watching and I’m feelin’ it💯
Yes. This is the “semi” origin story of “Bye Felicia”. I think Cube said it came from his NWA days and they was dismissing a groupie on tour. 😂😂😂😂
😂😂 damn through out the years I seen this movie I never the supervisor called him back but good reaction 🔥
Bianca, I get you, girl! When you were talking about the movie afterwards and said to not mind your face, I felt that in my soul. I’ve got the worst RBF ever! Like you, when I’m watching a movie, I could really be enjoying it, but because I’m playing such close attention to it, my face forgets to react like my brain does! Lol! Great reaction! Love you guys!
-Yes, that was Megan Goode, she was 13. Friday was her first movie.
-It is HILARIOUS that only the non-black reactors notice old boy played up in the bed while she cussing out Craig! 😂
-Cube and Chris speak. They are cool. Chris was too Hollywood to reprise his role after Rush Hour, that was why he wasn't in the following ones. If Cube ever gets the rights to the franchise and makes another one, Chris will most likely be in it.
-Yes, this is where "Bye Felicia" originated.
-No, that one Smokey line was not the most quoted from the movie.
-It's from the movie Scarface...

The movie Craig's dad is watching is "Man's Best Friend". It was produced by the same company, New Line Cinema.

-There's 3 movies. Just as hilarious to me.
-Yes, I can quote this whole entire movie. All three to be honest.
-If Bianca likes John Wick, you two have to check out The Equalizer movies starring Denzel Washington. McCall is so much better than John Wick, and I like John Wick. They are filming the 3rd one right now... EXCELLENT action movie.
Other movies to check out many reactors don't: "The Fifth Element" (Bruce Willis, Chris Tucker), "The Last Boy Scout" (Bruce Willis, Damon Wayans), and "Jackie Brown" (Tarantino movie),
You know what’s funny? The fifth element is one of the next ones I said we should watch ! I’ve always wanted to see it!
@@mrflickswatches Don't know if y'all have watched it but check out 'The Long Kiss Goodnight' starring Geena Davis and Samuel L. Jackson, too. A 90s action-comedy flick that should've fared much better than it did at the box office, Sam Jackson's always said it was his favorite role/film he ever shot...
The movie Craig's dad was watching is called Man's best friend. It's about a genetically engineered dog.
Pops was the grandfather on the boondocks and the sister was the voice of Riley and Huey
Tommy Lister (Deebo) passed away fron Covid 😢. RIP to him and Bernie Mac, Yvette (Andelle), John Witherspoon (Pops), and AJ Johnson. I’ll never look at Friday the same. The great Legends transitioned, but their legacy lives on❤.
at least 7 people from this movie passed away , john witherspoon bernie mac deebo michael clark duncan the actor who played the crackhead the actor who played red's dad and the woman dana hooked smokey with actress e'vette wilson
The old dude cracks me up!!!!!
the actor who played deebo was tim tiny lister and he also did a movie with hulk hogan where he played a guy named ZESU and he also wrestled hulk hogan in the wwe under the same name .
Laughter is the best medicine is an old and true saying.
ice cube was 26 and chris was 24 and the fact that they’re both in there 50s now they still look good for their age black dont crack lol 😂
Black does not crack indeed 🙏🏼
@@mrflickswatches oh and when you mentioned that you first saw nia long in are we there yet it was definitely my first time as i well that was a 2005 film i was couple months old when that movie came out and i was 2 years old when the 2nd one came out are we done yet 2007
7:51 This actor, man. Him and my grandfather could've lied about being twins and it would've been the most believable lie ever. They looked so much alike. Same face with freckles, same skin tone, same facial hair and same red hair. Every time i see that guy, i can't help but think of my grandfather.
The scene when he dropped the ice cube.. I never got that the first time watching the movie back in 2000'ns . I just thought ooh he's gonna put that in the cup eewww lol
14:27 YES! This movie is where that line came from.
22:29 The Movie is Scarface 😂 I’m sittin here high asf laughing my ass off Kinfolk 😂
When Smokey was talking with a foreign accent, that’s from “Scarface”
I first watched this movie high as fuck and laughed 80% of the time
Whenever someone tell me "bye Felicia" I tell them "go to bed, Joseph".
Dude this is even a Hood Classic here in South Africa. Remember first watching it on VHS back in the 90s made me realise how similar the Hoods from South Africa and America are. In my hood we also had a DeeBo his name was Boeta, so many characters its blind funny.
And the line "that's OK, she be back"... Scarface of course
14:25 yes! This is where "bye Felicia" came from
The funniest thing is I meet Tom ‘tiny’ Lister. Hands down the nicest man you’ll ever meet. RIP Mr Lister.
