Girl, I am a little over 7 months breast-feeding, and it is HARD it really takes a toll on your mental health I completely agree, so yes 15 months is a HUGE achievement!!!! Seriously mashallah good for you, you did it!!!
I'm breastfeeding my daughter for 20 months and planning to until she is 3. I don't understand why is it so hard? Islamicly, the baby has a right to breastfeed until the age of 2 and research shows the benefits of breastfeeding until 2.
@@Amy623have some compassion it doesn't come so easily for everyone ! I breastfed my first son for 2 years and found it a struggle throughout , however with my second child it was much easier ! don't underestimate anyone's struggle with breastfeeding- the fact she is BF at all is amazing!
@@nina_1227 For everyone it's hard at the beginning of o breasfeed until the nipples get used to it and after that it's easy because it doesn't hurt anymore. Most women stop breastfeeding because of that pain. That's what happened with my first child
I can’t wait to order from Ella. And knowing that a modest brand like yours is there brings me peace and happiness. You make boycotting brands so much easier.
I can so relate to your weaning journey. I must tell you I have a second one as well and I decided to wean him off pretty early for the same reasons. I knew it was taking a great toll on mental health and I knew if I would just stop with that my hormones would go back to normal. And that’s how I was able to love and enjoy my second baby way more than the first who was breastfed for 9 months. So you don’t need explaining. You made the right decision.

Leena you look so beautiful with no makeup! Can you share more about your weening journey? I’m right around the corner from there with my first baby and it’s so hard even just thinking of it! Also I love how you’re going about including (or not including?) your kids in videos now. It looks really good in the video and I respect your reasoning behind it totally.
Ma'am... breastfeeding was the thing that took the biggest toll on my mental health. My baby was a preemie, i never got an opportunity to have her latch due to her being in the NICU, and pumping for me felt like a 2nd full time job. The job i had at the time was very demanding and there was a lot of pressure on me when i came back from leave after 9 weeks. My supply started to be affected and then i left my pump at the job and went out of town straight from work to a long weekend and experienced really painful engorgement. My supply never recovered, and we had to transition to formula after 6 months. I was devastated and blamed myself, but looking back on it, i know i was doing my best with the situation handed to me. You are a great mom, and your kids need you to be at your best mentally as well as physically. You're doing great, Mama!

Wait, I thought Muslim women weren't allowed to paint their nails/get acrylics/press-ons? I see that Leena doesn't have paint on her nails, but she said in the past she's gotten them done? Or does she mean just the manicure, and not color/acrylics? Sorry if I'm misunderstanding!
