Hi, Shad. Here are my comments, having designed our kitchen remodel. I'm just a homeowner, not a designer.
Beware: Wider than usual task specific workstation sinks reduce the amount of general counter space available for other tasks. Think twice if counterspace is limited….We’re two retirees and our normal width 24” dishwasher fills up very fast. A slimmer than usual dw, if you're home a lot, may not be a good idea. And, as mentioned, is not good for resale value of your home either…..Complicated cabinet corner systems: Drawers are better and here’s an interesting idea: the dead space can be accessed thru the wall of the adjacent room via a secret door or panel (with the help of a carpenter, etc.)
Good Ideas: Microwave drawer…Deeper than usual countertops that match the depth of fridge/stove. (Normal depth base cabs can be installed farther out from wall with cleats on wall to support countertop.)…Full extension, undermount drawer glides….Vertical slots in base cabs with doors to store oversized cookie bake sheets & serving platters….Plan smartly: Inventory what you have & need to store…Store taller items (bags of pretzels, cereal, etc.) in over fridge wall cab. Nifty idea that makes back area of above fridge wall cab accessible: two pull-out trays w/door fronts attached to each tray.
Design tricks that guide eye uninterrupted throughout the room, make kitchen feel more spacious:
1-Wide multiple windows on exterior wall
2-Wide sinkbase. Ours is 42” wide.
3-36” wide Rangehood over std 30” stove
4-Directional flooring: Run direction of floor across the narrowest part of the kitchen.
5-Colors that draw your eye @ room w/o interruption. No bold color contrasts.
6-A few open wall shelves or glass front wall cabs.
    My 2 cents.

Sounds like you learned a great deal from remodeling your kitchen. Thank you so much for sharing your insights.
So many of the options have pros and cons, or more importantly individual adaptations to their curcumstances. There are very few guidelines I give to every customer every time.
Hope you find value in future videos as well- and share more insights.

Here is one- it appears it is for a higher toe kick application, such as an ADA height.
