Do you mean card inventory? Just go to the shop and buy inventory slots. The cardbook is just an archive of all the cards you've collected, there's no expansion needed.
Or you could keep them if you wanted to. They don't appear on your cardbook, but they do appear in your card inventory if you didn't sell or use to upgrade other cards. They can't be upgraded though.

i think you can get it by using arena coins and spending it on the 100% le theme card (the gold vip pack)

They get registered in the cardbook once it is collected so there is no use to keep those R cards unless they are LE.
