I grew up without my dad being in the picture but my uncle, my mom's brother was into hot rods and drag racing, and he always took me to his house where he was always working on cars and he took me to drag races and round track races from the time I was like 5 until I was grown. When I was 16 he let me drag race his 10-second 1967 RS/SS Camaro. So he was the best fill-in dad anyone could have.

So our neighbor who had a tranny shop, got me into dirt track modified cars and that quickly turned into 360 & 410 winged sprints. In ‘95 I put a 117” wheel base, 1971 Monte Carlo out on the local dirt track with a not so “stock”motor. Kicked some butt, failed some butt too 😂 Ended up in an 8 (other than my car) disaster wreck on the front stretch one night. Car was a wreck and I’m still a wreck (too many issues to name lol)… but no WAY can you take the racing outa this gal! Asphalt ovals, dirt ovals and every fashion that you can go straight-I’M ALL ABOUT IT! Especially when it involves these kids!!!!
I know I'm not the only one that's proud of crew chief. What an amazing human he is. His parents kick ass. Hope to see many more years of his optimism and progression.

so one of the things I like about these drag and drive events is, if some team is stopped on the side of the road, and there were already multiple cars stopped to help, if they gave a thumbs down, other teams would stop to see if they could help. It's called Community, and a good one it is!
From the UK and honestly, hands down this is the best race series of the year. I absolutely love race week. I wish there was something similar in Europe but no chance especially driving 9 hours track to track! Every year I watch this and TX2K very carefully. Thank God for 1320 Video filming these incredible events. Over 100-degree heat as well! 🙏

My favorite part of these drag and drives is the mini-stories that happen along the way. Cleetus fighting the world George almost losing Rocky The Dakota getting in a wreck only to show back up with parts he got in a stroke of luck to run a bottom ten. Blaine showing why he’s everyone’s favorite kid with how much he’s doing. Things like this are why drag and drives are your best videos.
Seeing the McFarland crew roll past in convoy at 3:00 was just great. Blazer with a big fuck off blower, then the twin turbo Mullet, then the C5 that was CLEAN.

I live in pueblo right now. It’s been so awesome seeing race week pass through. I went to the event in pueblo and it was awesome, saw cleetus’ 7.3 and all. Sam really is the nicest person you could ever meet. I work at advance auto on hw50 and the guys running the stick shift Silverado came in and I met them. Really is cool seeing everybody. Didn’t get to talk to many of the RUclips people but it was cool seeing everybody run around. You guys really don’t get a resting moment. Cleetus and everybody! Y’all stay sooo busy
loved your comment about the hot temps. I am a retired EX Roadside heavy duty mechanic. I drove hundreds of thousands of miles every year rescuing and fixing Semi rigs all over western canada in temps from 110 degrees down to -40 degrees with no airconditioning in the sumers and say moderate heater in the winters. But none the less from bare strips of country pavement to pull off stops to frozen or burning hot warehouse lots, I was there rain snow hot or cold 7 days a week 24 hours a day i was out there.
Man that kid Blaine just puts a smile on my face everytime he's on camera. Such a cool, smart kid, doing this at 14 years old. Can't wait to see how he does in the future!

Props to the M4, doing it in style and comfort for sure plus it’s a stick, which is probably one of the last BMW’s to have one 😎👍🏻 was surprised with the 12.7 though, my old Subaru STi with the stock turbo was running 12.7’s 🤷🏻♂️
That wagon with the Ford 300 I6 is amazing. Those engines are bulletproof and to get 500hp from a pre-EFI engine on stock block and pistons is wild (looks to be EFI converted). 1987 is when the 300 I6 had factory EFI.

I've gone back and rewatched all the recent videos from Cleetus, Teeth n turbos, Tom Bailey, Steve Morris, etc and I'll be damned if I could find any mention of who owned the yellow C5 Z06 that Sam was driving... I was guessing it may be his own but I figured we would have been introduced to it at some point, if that was the case. Being it's his, it definitely makes it that much cooler... The best part tho, is seeing him manually rowin the gears down the strip!
For old Cleeter and his last run, think about this. He did 207MPH on drag radials and no bars. How much faster could he be on a big tire and bars? You gotta give the team that build Mullet credit- KSR, Steve Morris, Motion, Cleetus's crew, Dr. BendARod.

The 300 ford Stright 6 is a tough motor. I used them in the oil patch running compressors. 3600 RPM, full load 24/7 4 years only down for oil changes.
