If you call back to the end of Pizza Tower when the Tower crumbles, Peppino doesn’t leave anyone behind. He gets everyone out of there including his enemies he fought along the way. It’s almost as if he didn’t want to repeat what he did all those years ago during the war and run away from the danger, leaving everyone behind. I don’t know man, just something to think about.

Peppino is probably in his 40s, considering that his war uniform resembles a lot the uniform of the italian partisans Peppino must have fought in WW2 agaisnt the italian fascists and assisted the Ardeatine massacre in Rome commutted by the Nazis in 1944, it is from this event that Peppino got his PTSD that haunts him every night. We can see that from peppino's war days that his appearance is the one of a strong and athletic man meaning that Peppino must have fought in WW2 when he was in his 20s maybe when he was 21, for this maybe Pizza tower takes place 20 years after WW2 (probably in the 60s), we can also see Peppino using the US dollar at the beginning of the game meaning that after the war Peppino moved to the United States like many Italians did somewhere between 1945 and 1970 (600.000 italians moved to the US after the war). So Peppino is an italian ww2 partisan veteran who suffered a great trauma in 1944 and moved to America in 1962 in search for a better life and to cope with his trauma

Peppino's PTSD was so well handled, but also so full of emotion. Some games or shows I've seen had ptsd characters, like bluey(Mackenzie?) and, ugh... Happy Tree friends (flippy) , but none have had as much emotion in it as this 😭😢🥲 not even Bluey, a show known for touching on every age's humor, emotions, situations, problems, struggles, disabilities, and certain types of lifestyles.
It’s surprising that Pizza Tower has such deep lore, even though there are only two levels in the game that add exactly that to such a light hearted game. Pizza Tower will be the next Kirby in terms of lore.

[P.S I think he learnt he super run from the war]

I cannot imagine what is like to have a PTSD. But as I understand, it's a living torture. I have some kind of obsession of things I hate and when I cut it off, it came back like a boomerang. I'm maybe lucky to have this and not PTSD, but I feel sad to think that people like you have to suffer of this cancer like nightmare. I cannot help you or anybody getting off of it, but I still can wish you to live a good life and not thinking that all of your action are hurtful for the others.

It would be cool to have an image where peppino is facing a dark version of his dead comrads who's keep calling him a coward, the one who wenhave to blame for leaving instead of fighting.
