Hola Buenas Noches desde Argentina!!!! Exelente el trabajo realizado. Podra usted si no es molestia mostrar, el resultado del trabajo de alambrado en primavera . Un gran saludo con todo respeto. Jorge,..
Does it matter what size of container I will use for planting future shohin bonsai seedlings? What size do you recommend for planting acer palmatum seedlings? I was told that it is important to to train tree right away in small container to achieve a short internods, where buds can develop. Thank you very much for your reply.
@@Bonsai_channel Thank you very much, you gave an accurate answer. I have plastic garden pots for seedlings and I can use 500 ml and 380 ml and 1 liter pots. All root systems are placed in this pot. Should I choose a larger or smaller pot in the first year? I will give you the part of the article that worries me. This is by Brent Walston. Most field grown or untrained A. palmatum seedlings, red or green, are worthless for small bonsai because of the internode length. This will not matter much for larger specimen, but it is critical for mame and shohin. Unrestricted seedlings make internodes about an inch or less for the first year, or for about the first three to six internodes. After this time they become established and have the resources for stronger growth. At the late part of the first season or the middle of the next season the internode length will increase dramatically as the plant explodes into aggressive growth. The internode length may jump to six inches or more. For a small tree this will give a REVERSE spacing of ascending branches, with the largest spaces at the top of the tree. This is not easily corrected. Should we think about it? Or is it enough to just bend trunk and it's good anyway?
@@ПавелТокарев-з1я The size of the pot is just the size of the root. Don't use the pot too big! Don't be too small! Trees grown in the garden using granular soil will die unless the soil is washed away. Use granular soil that allows air to pass through easily The number of roots and leaves is the same, and when you cut the roots, you also cut the leaves. The time when the leaves have fallen and have no leaves is the time for replanting. Maples are hard, so be careful when bending them. Internodes will not heal unless pruned.
@@Bonsai_channel Thank you so much. I see a lot of tutorials about growing pine trees, but hardly any about growing maples. I want to grow maples and other deciduous trees. As far as I see, in your technique, you immediately treat a seedling or young plant as an adult tree, and not grow a huge trunk, plant it in the ground or a huge pot, and do not grow long sacrificial branches. I see that you are already pruning the branches at the seedling, whereas in the West, the trunks are usually grown first.

It depends on the size of the root, not the type of tree.
It's best to have a size that fits in without cutting the roots.
