It was so stupid. What was the point of it? And what was even more baffling is the last time these two were around each other they were feuding! Vince started losing touch somewhere around the late 2000s with the Donald trump stuff.
I get what you're saying but I think if Vince booked him right that he wouldn't be on this list. Vince thought the crab walk and spooky ballocks was what made wyatt scary but its not. What makes him scary is demonstrated by a photo used in one of his vignettes. The photo has a bunch of headless hands raising up to him while his arms are stretched. Blind loyalty by mindless sheep's. So maybe if Vince added Ted Dibeasde Jr or other Legacy members to join the wyatt family it would've been a better feud
It's bad enough that Bray lost the WWE Title to Randy at Mania, but to follow it up with the House of Horrors Match at Payback (which wasn't even for the title, mind you) is a travesty. Overall, from the silly spooky stuff to losing one match after another, 2017 was a tough year for the Eater of Worlds.
I know this is weird but I honestly liked Reigns vs. Taker at Wrestlemania 33. The story it told (not the one they intended it to tell but the one it did tell) of a man who had long needed to retire and was running out of steam actually worked with the botches, giving the whole thing a meta-like quality. I don't dispute it being on this list, but it's a match where its flaws kinda worked for it.
It actually unfair to rank them as worst match now (especially after Taker documentary on how he worked injured with his hip problems) like it may be the worst back that time, but it should ranked as so after knowing certain information that contributed to that
It probably would've been remembered better if a) they built that as the story a bit more and b) they turned Roman heel! He absolutely needed to become a heel right after that, because the audience booed him more than ever the next night on Raw

payback 2017 was my first live wwe event. it started with enzo and cass beating anderson and gallows, it had the bar turning heal after losing to the hardy's, bayley losing in her hometown, watching a video of the house of horrors match that looked very very dumb, jericho's surprise win on owens because we knew fozzy was about to go on tour, and a very very boring roman reigns braun stroman main event. also just want to point out, the house of horrors match shows that it was night time, but with it being california in may, it was absolutely still light outside and everyone was laughing and asking if the house was on the east coast and they drove to california in record time lol
More than anything this calls to attention the absolute ridiculousness of AEW running an angle about determining who the greatest technical wrestler in the world is and not including the great Khali. I scoffed when Claudio came out to replace Danielson at Forbidden door instead of him the nerve of Tony Khan really is something else.
The concept isn't awful for something that's brought out extremely sparingly. Considering that if the cage door isn't broken off, the wrestlers need to climb two different cages to escape i mean

@Crossman6911 If it was like 2003-2004 where brands had 2-3 months to develop feuds, then all brands would have meaningful stories while WWE is still making money from PLE's . This could definitely work, just need the proper execution.

Big Cass being heel should've been better honestly also honestly Styles vs Shane could've been the main event or a different match because that Wrestlemania 33 main event should've been in the midcard
As a reminder, if it wasn't for AJ Styles taking the WWE Champipnship from Mahal a week before Survivor Series we may have ended up with Jinder Mahal vs Brock Lesnar which either would have ended with Mahal and the Singh Brothers getting fed to Brock like a 3 Course Meal or worse a 15 minute slog fest where Brock would probably not give a damn about the match, no sell anything Mahal did, and who knows what else.
Everyone keeps talking about how great Charlotte Flair is but literally, just watching this video you have a screen still of her tie up with Nia Jax. Literally one of the first things you learn in wrestling, and she is doing it wrong.
How is Goldberg vs. Kevin Owens' 22 second distraction, spear and jackhammer Fastlane 2017 main event not here? Owens had the universal title for 188 days, after Balor had to vacate it due to injury. Had the Jericho storyline going, successfully defended it against top guys. The Goldberg vs. Brock survivor series '16 squash was done perfectly. But doing an even shorter squash main event, was such a bad way to end Owens' reign.
2017 was a weird and bad year for WWE. This is why I still not care about the product because of Vince’s Creative goons for their odd booking and Jinder Mahal as WWE Champion. That was a bad year for the WWE Championship scene.
As much as we love Bray Wyatt, I don't remember he ever given us a good match ever. There have been some decent matches but never good. Same goes for Randy Orton.

I maintain that Carmella winning MITB was way overblown purely because it was the first Women's MITB and Elsworth was a man.
