this is the most non-cheesy christmas movie ever, and operation christmas drop is true and has been happening since 1952,and tribute to brother bruce which is a real good man volunteering for over 40 years

'Brother' Bruce Best was a personal high school friend and surfing buddy from Riverside, California. Glad to see and hear that his selfless work to bring Holiday cheer to the Guam Islands people has got its just recognition.

@@Viperclarkx01 I know and I love how strong your culture has stayed, but the way they portrayed Guam was completely wrong. In all of their shots on the beach they purposefully cropped out all of the hotels and buildings in the background to make it for their narrative, for example. I just don't want people thinking that we're still living like that when we are not because of Western influence and rule. I just don't really like the "islands on their own is bad, Western people have to save them" mentality you know what I mean.

I’m Micronesian and growing up this be the best day we always waiting for( Christmas drops) before we get 9 drops now we only get 2 or maybe three. But we still thankful. Just finished this movie and I’d have to say it was really beautiful. It’s actually showcased as some christmas romantic film but its really more about bringing christmas spirit by showing how noble it is to help people. Its a feel good and heartwarming movie. Perfect for christmas 🎄

I was stationed on Guam for over two years in the Navy. It was from 1975-1977, lived,worked,and everything else on this island. I was there during the Viet Nam evacuation too.

My home island. Operation Christmas drop started in 1952 and still going. I was one of those little girls standing on my home island kapingamarangi atoll back in the 80’s. I miss it! Thank u YOKOTA very much for doing this for us, Micronesians and Polynesians.

As someone from the Marianas, I just want to let you know that this focuses on something amazing that the troops on Guam do every year. It's a great thing they do and we really love it!
This is blatant Air Force propaganda with the somewhat dubious combination of Transport Pilots and Politics. While the movie itself knows exactly what it is and does it well enough; helped along by the chemistry of the two lead actors I would not say it is 90 minutes wasted but it is not really memorable. As long as you do not expect anything other than cheesy heart-warming pro-military messaging out of this one, you can certainly do a lot worse.
My daughter just said mom go watch this!! Yup my kids are black/Guamanian makes me proud!!

Am I the only one who found this a bit boring? And the romantic chemistry between the two was dry and unenthusiastic! It’s certainly not your typical sweep you off your feet Holiday romance! However the story was moving!

I love Bonnie from Vampire Dairies. I thought she was the most beautiful actor of the show. Then she came to Guam, and I got to meet her... I wasn’t impressed, her attitude made her UGLY. Burjn Ironside though is SUPER CHILL, friendly to everyone he was around, very respectful.
He is sweet to his fans especially on Live IG & meet & greets
So many other beautiful local girls on Guam that would make this actress disappear in a room. Wasn’t impressed nor wooed by any of the lead actors. This movie was a travel junket and excuse to take a vacation to see what all the hubbub was about when North Korea said it was going to bomb Guam. Surprised Netflix picked up the tab for this cheesy cringe garbage. Better movie would be the Covid outbreak on the USS Roosevelt as they pulled into Apra. Now that was really something. BEST CHRISTMAS ROM COM EVER. Thank you Netflix for making this heartwarming, military and America positive Christmas movie. This is exactly what our country needs right now. I cried when I found out the drop is real. Thank you to the Air Force and military members who are a part of it - it was so important to show!!! Merry Christmas, and go AMERICA!!!!!!!

Later on, when congress finalized their decision not to shut the base down, the captain revealed that the base chief called everyone in and told them to make her feel welcome during her stay. He also privately told the captain to work his charm on the investigator so their operations won't cease. The captain never really did love her, he was just following orders and doing his job. Also, he already had a wife and two kids in the city waiting for him.
Now that would be a twist🤔
So after dying Bjorn ironside reincarnated into a nice sensitive guy.
