Great videos Dodger.Iv really enjoyed watching them as Iv always wanted to go to Goa in the monsoon season so you’ve given me a good insight to how it is.Have a safe journey home and can’t wait to see your next travels 😊
Thank you so much it's lovely to hear that you have enjoyed the videos. For me I don't like being around drunks and I imagine that high season there's a lot of partying going on. I did enjoy going during the monsoon it was certainly something different. The restaurants and beaches were quiet so that suited me. Do you think you might take the trip yourself Chris? I may be doing a few Yorkshire videos next but I do have some ideas for travel to places I've always wanted to see once it gets to March / April time, these are sites in a well known tourist destination that are kind of secret to most people. Is there anywhere you'd like to see me visit? I really appreciate you supporting the channel. Thanks.
That's great to hear that you are watching from the UK. I hope the vlogs brought back some memories for you. Whereabouts in Goa do you come from? Have you been in the UK a long time?
We had a day in Panajim City when we were staying in Candolim. I enjoyed it though only really went around the picturesque old quarter. Yeah I realised my mistake with the conversion when I watched the video so put a bit of text on screen to show it was Rs1500. I hope you have a great trip back to Goa.
When I watched the video back and saw how the fish had opened up the mosquito bites I thought to myself that it was actually quite a dangerous thing to do. I thought of all the blood infections that could so easily be passed on as I imagine that same water is just pumped around and around. I remember they were quite a trend in the UK a few years ago and gave it a thought about why they ceased being popular.
Hi Leslie, yes 1500 was a decent price and the place was very clean. I got it through bookingdotcom. Thanks very much for watching, I hope you enjoyed the vlog.
Lol! Hi, Did you mean I didn't show anything of the area outside the villa grounds? If that's what you were asking about, the villa was right in the jungle and nearest village I suppose would have been Agonda about 2.5 miles away (where I'd spent 4 nights previously) or Kola 1.5 miles away (nothing there). I could have gone to the beach about 1.5 miles from the villa but spending all that money I was inclined to get my money's worth and stayed put. I wouldn't go back to the villa for sure.
Rs.15,000 per night?!! Holly Molly!! That is a rip-off for a budget accommodation. You could have stayed at a nice 5-star hotel for that price. The owners have no shame in ripping off foreigners. I feel so bad they did this to you. I would advise you and others to do better research on the rates. I was there just last week in Goa and stayed at a basic budget apartment for a much lesser price than what you paid (Honestly, Rs.3000 per night. About 27 Pounds). No wonder, Goa is losing its charm. The bedroom was twice as big as the one you stayed. It had a huge hall, TV, Fridge, Kitchen with utensils, cutlery, an Induction stove for basic cooking, Microwave, 2 toilets and shower area with hot water, AC, Washing Machine and last but not least, no mosquitoes. For cat lovers, there was a nice cat that kept meowwing every time it saw a guest coming out of the apartment. There was also a common swimming pool but for an additional fee. Since I do not swim, I did not need it anyway. The only problem I faced in that area (and in Goa, in general) was that the mobile network range was almost non-existent. That is a huge problem for someone like me, who has to work online, while holidaying. Only the WIFI worked (which the owner provided for free) and that helped me to work online. If that did not work, then trust me, I would have left Goa the very next day. I have no intentions to visit Goa again. It is out of my list for good. Write to me if you plan to visit Goa again and I will advise you of where I had stayed. I hate to see people get ripped off like this. PS: Ideal only for those who do not drink inside the apartment. I don't drink anyway
What a brilliant and very helpful comment. Thank you so much for taking time out to post your advice. I made a mistake when saying 15,000 and tried to correct this by adding some text on screen to show it was 1500 for the room. The place was small but it did the job for the short 2-night stay and was very clean. I do not think I shall visit Goa again especially when there are so many other places in India that I would like to experience. I am happy that I made the decision to go in the monsoon as this was very unique, somthing I had never encountered before. I must say the wi-fi was ok as I only needed it when I was in the accommodation. The only time it was down was the first two days in the second Candolim apartment but the landlord got the engineer out straight away and got it sorted. I found the Ocean View Cottage on bookingdotcom and the Candolim apartments on Airbnb. I found your comment really interesting and I hope others do too.
Hello Edwin, it was really only the villa stay that was marred by the mosquitoes the other places were manageable. The Goa trip took place during August and I believe the monsoon usually begins around May and continues until the end of September
Thanks very much for your comment. I did put some text on screen to highlight my mistake when I watched the video back and realised I had said 15,000. Hope you enjoyed the vlog.

There'll be family getaways, I go sightseeing at museums and other historical places. I'll share this with you so that you can enjoy the wonders of the world and remember past events.
There is so much that we need to know about history and I want to help you learn more about it. I go to places like the Taj Mahal, Auschwitz, Mount Rushmore, Eiffel Tower, Wallace Hartley’s home, Little Bighorn Battlefield, Berlin during WWII, memorial sites and much, much more.

This is the beach controlled by lobo goons so be careful
Hi Peter, what does lobo mean? I've not heard that expression. I have read about taxi mafia in Goa.
I’m a Goan watching from U.K.
That's great to hear that you are watching from the UK. I hope the vlogs brought back some memories for you. Whereabouts in Goa do you come from? Have you been in the UK a long time?
All are abandoning Goa why did you go there to be eaten alive by our corrupt politician.
@@DodgersTrips I’m living here since 2014. I’m from Near Panajim, Planning to visit Goa in April or August after 3 years. £15 to Rs1500

I totally agree 💯 I also don’t like being around drunks so the monsoon season would also suit me.
Not a big fan of crowds but it would be the rowdy behaviour that I'd dislike.
You do know you can get infections from them fish that’s why you hardly ever see them in the UK any more 🥴

@ we live and learn, I’ve had my feet done as well about 10 years ago and then learnt how dangerous it can be to yourself 🥴
I always think travel is like that - live and learn and chalk it down to experience.
15 pound is equal to 1500. One thousand five hundred rupees is very😂 very cheap.

Hi Dodger Looks like you came from one hell hole to another . You never showed much of the other place, was it that bad

Sad that your trip was spoilt by mosquitoes so much. What time of year was this trip, when was monsoon season?

You'll never eat Fish Fingers Again!!😂
Weird how they couldn't wait to get tucked in.
It's not 15000 indian rupees but 1500 rupees
