This is so sad man. This is the result of years of metal-rank dps complaining about hog. I never understood the hate for this hero, and now he's just unplayable. Time and time hog players have had to work around the most ridiculous nerfs to hog and buffs to his counters, as well as the making of broken heros. Almost every single character is now a counter to hog. This is just sad to see
I understand the hate, even if hog sucks hes just annoying to go against, and the only way to fix that is by taking his hook but thats his entire identity so obviously they wouldnt do that

If blizzard goes by win percentage when it comes to balancing, shouldn't hog get like a super buff or something since he has the lowest? Hog should also get the orisa treatment for balancing
I don't know if you ever got a response, but the dps passive is indeed both stronger and lasts longer on tanks. Tank passive = Half the effect of the dps passive, same duration So from 10%, it went up to 12,5% on tanks. Small but on hog definitely significant, don't know why they didn't compensate him, they just hate him.
The only reason they nerf hog so much is because of his 1-shot but then they nerf him to the point where his 1-shot isn’t consistent and half the roster can negate it completely by either having tank hp, or an ability that just counters hog. They recognize how good he can be and just decide to make him ass meanwhile they buff Sojourn, Mauga, and Orisa as if they aren’t broken(when you aren’t in low ranks and know how to play them)
I havent played since rivals has come out and im so glad lol. I do NOT miss it... I get my fix just watching cyx, but even this is getting hard to watch. Obviously i like watching cyx, but watching ow gameplay and seeing just how bs everything is and the terrible balancing that caters to garbage players... Its honestly so depressing, idk man, it used to be playing this game was tough, but now watching it is too

Marvel rivals is infinitely less balanced than overwatch. supports feel so fun in ow compared to rivals. you’re literally a heal bot with zero play making potential. I just press Q and my team doesn’t die. half the ults are a one shot aoe. the game is not balanced bud idk how else to tell you lol

They destroyed the fun of the game the moment they introduced Role Lock covered up as “Role Queue”, meant to fix a huge problem the 6v6 format had. *Queue Times.* And instead of ACTUALLY FIXING THAT DAMN PROBLEM they just bandaid it with Role Lock instead of ACTUALLY MAKING A *ROLE QUEUE MODE..* but now.. we already know that mode, Role Queue, ACTUAL Role Queue will never be implemented into game and tested on 6v6 to at least know if that, would finally fix the queue time issue but rather than that, we instead get the new coming mode “Hybrid Queue” where we get to test it and see how it feels in terms of queue times and the balance of it in comparison to Open Queue. To be continued….

@@AdhvaithSane Role queue legit wouldn't solve any issues though. The biggest playerbase is DPS and then it's Support and last is Tank. Tank has the smallest playerbase of all of them. Majority of ppl would put -> DPS, Support, Tank and *still get mad and complain* when they get Tank. The only way to fix the Tank issue is to make the heroes in the role more rewarding/fun or to nerf the other roles. They're not going to nerf the other roles because that alienates literally the majority of the playerbase. So you get microbuffs to specific heroes in the Tank role which end up in ridiculously dominant Tanks for metas. You're talking about this whole issue as if it's purely 'role lock's fault.' The issue is the dev mentality of not wanting to actually address individual heroes that are bad for the health of the game and instead introducing other heroes to counter those heroes. That's been their whole philosophy for *years.* How do you think we ended up with heroes like Moira? Like Ana? Brigitte? Baptiste? Kiriko? That's just the Support role. You can make the same argument for the other two as well. The reality is that the work required to 'properly balance' this game will never happen. So you gotta accept it as it is; that there will always be patches where your preferred heroes feel awful to play. Kingmaker is the only way this game will feel good for the Solo role and it *requires* a lot of work that I'm not even slightly confident that the devs will put in. Each hero needs hero-specific buffs to be 'good' as the King instead of role-specific.

i still think his ult should be buffed the knockback is way to hard after they nerfed it and maybe the middle pellets on his primary fire could go up from 15 to 20 damage so good hog players can one shot again well sometimes

They should remove the trap since it’s not that fun to use and is kind of just a weak ability that also can kinda help you get an easy one shot help you get an easy one shot. Using two abilities just to one shot doesn’t change the fact that hook is his only real main value. Instead I think that his 3rd ability should be the gun on his back and make it function as a ranged shock rifle that could be put on a 10-12 second cooldown that deals maybe 50-60 damage when all pellets land and shortly stuns enemies for 1.6 seconds. This way you can use it to secure more kills without a hook and could be a good ability to get follow-up from your team. I also suggest that hook be put on a similar cooldown to avoid from hog getting too much kill potential while having both abilities and encourages to be more intentional with a strong ability like hook. Less hooks is sad but it would be fair since one shots can be toxic. Since you won’t have the hook as much his gas could give a light 15 percent speed buff to not make him such an easy target. His ult isn’t that strong either so I suggest tightening how wide the pellet spray is and nerfing the damage since you would hit wayy more pellets with this change. I really hope hog can see some permanent changes and improvements it’s really sad to see him underperforming and be so misunderstood just because players don’t like the one shot.
I dont know why cyx complains so much about mauga in his elo, mauga is such a sad character compared to dva/sigma/ hazard its almost infurating, the guy on the first game counter swapped to mauga to shoot the hog but he was at the same time against ana/zen/genji, he had to swap instantly back to sigma
It really depends on which character you play against, the best example I can think of is ash and sojourn, ash is literally a piece of cake, even with ping you can oneshot her consistently, but sojourn hitbox is so weird and even on top of that she moves her head while dashing, you can still oneshot her but I swear its just a gamble
