Great compilation of videos and pictures well put together and great song. It bought back many memories of happy times working as a fitter at Cotgrave for 20 years. My dad Ralph Taylor was a Colliery Overman at Cotgrave, he is almost 90 now. Great to see you have used some of my demolition pictures of the Pit when it was being stripped of all its useable assets. I managed to get onto the site with my mate Andy Ioannou and showed around by John Moss the Surface Shift Charge Engineer and Eric the security officer.. It was a sad day seeing all the destruction and waste. Thanks again.
Great bunch of lads I worked with on 56s Pat , Mick , Dave, Cyril , Roper, Jonny Tether to nam just a few, worked at Cotgrave from 1968 to 1979 then went to Selby Coal field. Dick Longden now in Spain in the sun.
Would anyone have a new article or any info on the pic that begins this video.. I believe its carrying coal from Cotgrave to Ratcliffe Power Station for Children in Need? My Dad is one of the people in the photo
