These really are beautiful instruments. How do you feel about the Ultem as a material? I'm a little on the fence - i like the idea in terms of robustness but i am just not sure about a colour so close to urine-yellow! 😂
:D well to be honest - im not a huge fan of yellow, but every time I see a yellow pen im liking it (in person), this happen to me with a sailor kop mandarin yellow, first pics was like - its ok but nahhhh, then we had a customer ordering one and we brought it in stock, then I was like ... uhhhh that looks good! Same goes for Parker Mandarin Yellow - Same goes for this Ultem, although the ultem is a orange-ish yellow, I like that using red inks in it / orange inks - shows as translucent also the ink. A blue ink or green in - shows as almost opaque black

...a little bothered aesthetically by the large etched writing of the brand on the nib. otherwise i love the minimal look and the plain acrylic version allowing the true color of ink to show. I also have my eye on the all black aluminum pocket, that one too love clean minimal looks
:D I think no branding on the nib is as well a no no - there needs to be a balance - maybe they will work on a bit as the brand starts to pick up more and more. Possible a stamping die that can make the nib have that extra visual touch to it, of course, combined with a balanced motif - the black is a looker
This pen is incredibly expensive compared to the Kuseido which is equiped with a gold nib and treated by an outstanding nibmeister. Don't see the plus in price represented in the pen or the concept
I have them both - and 100+ more of different kinds / values / styles and i can argue that is not the case like this, but we are all entitled to have our opinion :D and I respect yours
@@pen.venture I also own more than 60 pens including the common Grail Pen candidates. Taking that into account there is no scuh pen with a steel nib that costs more than 700€. But one my argue that this is not a fair comparison. Nevertheless I guess the Kuseido is in material, concept and design quite compareable but comes with an excellent gold nib. As you suggest everyone can make it's own choices and I of course respect your retailer point of view on this.
@ that is brilliant 🤝 small point my point of view is coming as an experience gained as a end customer primarily and not retailer - the reviews on the website from now owners and the fact we can’t keep them in stock to cope with how popular they become - made it so the Titan sells itself, as a multi brand store we are offering quality products and services at each budget and price point - that is our aim, which Titan fits in this just right
Hey, there is always something that is worse or more expensive in this case. However I regards to pens like a Otto Hutt Design 08 which also has a fantastic and complicated mechanism AND a gold nib. Just for ME this is running in the wrong way especially for a brand that’s showed up recently. Ben Walsh started with an outstanding quality at a very affordable price and offers a direct competitor that is „similar“ in design

Both 🖋️🙌🏻 depending on your taste - oversized pens (Titan) or medium size pens (kakari) - gold 6 nib (kakari) or size 8 steel nib ( Titan )

as much as I agree with you - we need to see a really nice clip, precise machining - springs and a very delightful overall tactile feeling on it
