I like high tech since I am a computer programmer; however, as a designer I felt a bit invaded :) The wish list for my office starts from being only mine!! I solve this detail by having a shared office for some tasks and a high tech personal office at home 👍
it's not entirely cradle-to-cradle, it was not designed and constructed for disassembly necessarily, however the building has an open floor plan meaning that it is adaptable to other functions. So the building is able to be around for a time much longer than its original intended use. Most of the building material is steel, aluminum and glass - fully circular materials. The most sustainable option would be if the building could be disassemblied and its components could be re-used as they are, which will partially work for the Edge, and most can be recycled. The building is therefore not entirely cradle-to-cradle, but definitely to a large extend. I'm one year late with answering your question, but I hope it helps!
hes. Heb je enig idee hoeveel dit gebouw gekost heeft? Over een paar jaar is de meeste apparatuur, de infrastructuur en het gebouw alweer verouderd en achterhaald.
Just so sad that it's such a boring, standard piece of architecture, once you look away from the app, the solar panels, the robots and the other gadgets...
Right, modern architectures are a bit too unappealing. I'm a techy guy but when it comes to architecture, I'm a bit traditionalist. If this makes everything efficient then it's fine, but if it's not, please hell no. Get this thing out of the architect's gallery.
Well, it's performance-based design. The form was fully optimized to follow the sun's path, and the floors, walls and glazing have been designed to allow maximum daylight yet prevent overheating. It may perhaps not be the most aesthetically pleasing building, but it's certainly not standard architecture!
Please don't stop. This is what the world needs.
The building has to be nice indeed considering that Deloitte's staff works 80 hours a week. It's the least they could do.
Damn that's excessive...
@@bloedblarre yeah does sound like a dream job. Nice building tho
Considering amount of hours, expensive city, employees could not care less about this building.
Whaaaaw !!!!I was soo thrilled to view this . What an utopian design of Green Building features , its really out of this world.
Proud to be a part of this firm🥰🥰
After 7 years of this vidz, I am still impressed.
Fantastic 😍

The Edge is more than edge
The fact that this was 6 years ago
We all deserve to work on The Edge. 👍, if you agree.
The Perfect Office.......
wow...really cool. I hope you are monitoring the operational parameters accurately so that the design intent is retained for years to come.
Amazing
Incredible !
It looks so clean, how do they arrange or organize their papers or achieves?
How is this greener than the Bullitt Center in Seattle?
What knuckle dragger would give this video a thumbs down ?

Ja man :)
Brilliant!
These are not just buildings, they are arcologies.
Smart, but is it only sustainable or also cradle-to-cradle?

I really like the huge atrium! but I agree - the huge glass box thing is so overdone...
