    I know this video is a few months old but let me say I'm super impressed by everything I've seen here. Before GWOT most US forces were not the best at CQB and even law enforcement often had more experience than even sf. Now the US is probably the best in the world but to see people using such a high level in a video game is mind blowing. I know most people probably want to correct things but I want to commend so much of this. When you talk about taking your time it made me so happy. We were taught SAS: surprise, aggression (voa for Yanks) and speed. Speed doesn't mean running to your death, it means controlling the tempo because the enemy controls the space. Make the enemy work to your tempo, only move as fast as you can think.
    It looks hard in this game but that 2nd man has to get in quick. You kept emphasising this and I couldn't agree more. I was told the job of the 2nd man is to always save the 1st man's life.
    The squeeze in the stack and the chem lights for cleared rooms is super accurate, the developers have done a great job with that and your knowledge is great.
    Your point about crossing the door and having your back to a threshold is very interesting. I've seen the French do something where as a man pies the door another is with him covering the threshold that will be behind him. I always found that odd because you don't necessarily want two people crossing the threshold you want to clear. We would have (out of four) the third man take a step out slightly to cover the hall or doorway behind while forth man is tailend Charlie covering the rear right until breach.
    I wonder if perhaps you are slightly too close to the wall when moving through the threshold? It could just be game mechanics but I remember getting told to space slightly off the wall to make it easier to move around doorways and to prevent kit banging against the wall and lessening the suprise element. Also great point about standing in front of doors, no cover inside only concealment.
    I'd be very interested to see you guys inside a real killhouse, or even an airsoft site if you have those. I was going to say you'd have to get used to weapon handling and discipline, but you sound American so there is a good chance you have that down already.

    • @Remyrezable
      @Remyrezable Год назад +11

      Standing away from the wall has multiple purposes, as you said banging against the wall, but also as bullets ricochet they will travel a few inches from the walls so you dont want to be hugging it. Last is mby more for regular forces fighting in urban combat? dont know how SF work. But for regular the teamleader can use the gap from the wall to maneuver safely and give instructions.

    • @lawrencewang3327
      @lawrencewang3327 Год назад +18

      Bumping walls doesn't create sound in this game, and friction against surfaces (drag) doesn't really exist either. Oftentimes Players will "ride the rail" so to say to ensure minimal wasted movement without needing visual pathfinding. Players are limited to 2 of our senses. As a result humping the wall makes for a good way to index a line of video game avatars.
      This may be why this behavior is preferred in video games.

    • @NobleNemesis
      @NobleNemesis Год назад +1

      @@lawrencewang3327 Im sure its was an oversight, maybe they will add those sounds as a feature, that'd be fantastic

    • @lawrencewang3327
      @lawrencewang3327 Год назад

      @@NobleNemesis it may get added but my point is to say that in a different operating environment (like a fully visual world) your procedure has to differ as the challenges you face and the tools you have to face them are different. Sounds may add immersion, and it definitely would be fun if it affected AI targeting. However, drag isn't a concern in this circumstance and indexing your position against a hard surface will always be the best way to ensure precise positioning in games.

    These are really good lessons, not saying I know better but I could spot 3 major issues you constantly commit:
    1) you are getting into each other's line of fire constantly in this video. You risk both friendly fire and blocking each other's from shooting the threat
    2) You clear closed doors last, not first. Open spaces are far more threatening as enemy could appear without warning from those. Opening a door has an audible que
    3) You need to clear corridors with the 2nd guy looking over the shoulder of the 1st guy. You were looking at each other's backs constantly, not helpful if an enemy comes from the front you'll have 0 vision and only the 1st guy can shoot, you want to have more barrels on the enemy than the enemy has on you.
    This is still good, I'd rate it a B-. Its better going with a B- plan than with no plan

    Also take in mind that you should do different strategies in different scenarios, violence of action is cool but consider if the defenders are having a hostages you're endangering not only civis by fast entry but also your mates, as for the door stacking.. it is better to have 2 guys on each side for better cover(if they see you one one side, you cant do much when yall on one side and for the next door you can use door wedge if the game offers it), as it is only a game and some stuff can be done easier than irl.. like in ready or not they cant hear you behind door if you dont kick it or dunno what else(im newbie to this game) use the advantage, I know karma its "gamer cqb" but not everything can work well from url tactics, AI can be retarded for not caring about their lives and just killing you, sorry for english yall, in my head it is all simplier 😑 its just my POV as also civil who learned stuff from youtube and airsoft, hope I wont make anyone mad

    Most of what you said is correct. Here is the correct way: pie the door until you feel uncomfortable (no more protection and you need to commit to entry) check the immediate danger area (3-5 feet of space past the threshold for threats), then commit to entry. Make entry and flow left to right clearing corners and close dead space (ie boxes or couches in reach) as you flood the room. Pass over closed doors and check all open follow on rooms or open doors first, never cross an open door or threshold. After doing all of that clear closed doors.
    I used to actually teach CQB in the Navy so take it as you will.

      It's more situational than national. Dynamic saves time at the cost of higher risk, therefore it's applied when time is essential as might be in a hostage situation. It's usually safer for the operators to work as much as possible from external before committing, but not necessarily for the hostages.

      You can tell when someone has no idea what they're talking about, and just a keyboard warrior, when they use terms like "always" and "best". CQB is extremely dynamic and the "best" thing to do is adapt to your situation and environment. There's many different SOPs and a solid team will swap them on the fly for whatever works for the current situation.

    Technically, the button hook is the best for the first man. The first man does not have to go into a room and always go left. First man is never wrong in the way they go.

    • @Rake5k
      @Rake5k 8 месяцев назад +1

      There are advantages and disadvantages to both path of least resistance and buttonhook, one isn't universally better than the other. That's why 1 decides and 2 goes opposite.

    • @GTRNights
      @GTRNights 7 месяцев назад +1

      There is no "best". It's situational, depending on what the point man sees. For example, you might not hook a corner-fed room if the deep corner is long. You might choose to rabbit instead of push so that your 2 man also gets his gun on that deep corner 3x faster than you could with a push because the 2 man won't have to earn his shot. 2 guns on one instead of 1 gun on 2. It's all math man, and there is no one single "best" SOP. There is no black and white here.

    Every ready or not player should watch this... It could be a way better experience for the online play if people simply knew how to enter rooms🤦‍♂️ they almost always do that LOOK RIGHT LOOK LEFT REALLY FAST thing, and they never pie anything, and they hangout in the doorway so often 😭

    Good lessons.. . Hmmm
    When stucking, always remember your team's quartering point... for example one is the punnel view of the front door.. do not pass his cover sigths specialy if the door is locked or mysterious.. the insider needs to duck and give free sights on the other team member like machine gunner or stunner shotgun.. . It also applicable when left quater and rigth quarter goes in left rigth left rigth.. its recommended making the other side to pass in the door all duck while the other one is standing..
    Do not stack up the open 90 degree door withing a meter but more than a meter, it has a many tactical benefits..

    just a little something i ask myself, why do you "choose" wich way you are going while doing an entry? i mean, for many reason, if i open a door, i can see probably more than 50% of the room before entering it, the first one should move where he is more "blind" sorry for my english, i'm french but if you are on the left side of the first door you open, you can see far right, no treat, so going left side is for me the only option! i know in CQB every choice you make is a good one until it fail. not trying to tell you want to do, i just want to hear your opinion about it !
    Love your video btw man !

    • @leachimy24
      @leachimy24 2 года назад

      You cant see the whole far right before entering the room. You still have a blindspot, so if the first guy going to the left (around the door) he can get shot in the back.

    • @gentgame3314
      @gentgame3314 2 года назад

      @@leachimy24 i agree, but the whole left side is blind, right side is just a corner that the second guy will imidiatly look! if the civilian was an ennemy, he would be dead cause she was on the left side, everyone have different view of this, but i get your point !

    • @leachimy24
      @leachimy24 2 года назад

      @@gentgame3314 the first guy takes the side of the least resistance (objects). Going around an open door is an object. In this video the second guy is to slow, normally its going way faster. When the first guy steps in the doorway the second guy already aimed his weapon to the left and start moving. These tactics are from the military.

      @@gentgame3314 @leachimy Most of the time there wouldn't be a set direction 1st man has to go. There are many things that can influence which way you go. You could see/hear someone on one side so logically you're gonna go that way even if it's not the path of the least resistance, It could be a corner-fed room and depending on your unit SOP you could either hook it towards the blind corner or run the rabbit and have your 2man snap towards the HC

    At 6:15 what was the logic behind not having each man enter the room the opposite direction of the guy in front of him? It appeared from the outside to be a centerfed room which means that even if you're able to more or less peak that door from the threshold initially, having an entire stack go left leaves nearly every person vulnerable to the right side of the room.
