Finally, a video that shows how to safely get ON the roof and OFF the roof. This is very much appreciated sir. Thanks...
Thank you!!! No one addresses the transition from ladder to roof and vice versa. Much appreciated 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷
This was so helpful. You actually got on the roof and off the roof. It's insane how many videos talk about doing this and end right before doing it. Thanks!
First video I found that actually showed how to get on and off the ladder from the roof. Thank you! Well done!
I thought these ladder use videos were never supposed to show anyone actually getting on the roof. We're supposed to see someone climb halfway up their ladder, talk for 4 minutes then descend.
One thing that is extremely important that was not mentioned was the center of gravity while transitioning off and on. I once almost kicked over a 24 ft ladder because I was green and didn’t know what I was doing. It’s very important to shift the foot that is staying on the ladder while you’re transitioning to the center of the rung. It may seem obvious but it wasn’t to me until I felt that ladder kicking out.
I just wanted to add a few things I learned from watching other ladder videos: 1. When climbing up/down a ladder you should hold the rungs not the sides of the ladder. That way if your feet slips off the ladder your hands with stop you from falling. 2. If possible, secure the top of the ladder to the roof so it does not slide off.
Thank you. I have looked at several videos and this is the only one straightforward enough for me to feel confident getting off a roof!
YES! Correctly getting off and back onto the ladder is crucial 👏
Very helpful, to see how to walk onto the roof with a Muti function ladder
Thank you for making this video available.
Well explained the getting on and off the roof- very important info all through the video 😊👍
Many thanks for this video. I have fear of heights and I have a dilemma how to hoo on and off the ladder. Now I know what to do.
For me , It is so important How to get up to roof ,and get down ? Now I keep this video !! To practice up and down tomorrow !! Thank you very much !!
Thanks!
Good video. I mainly wanted to know how to get on to the ladder from the roof and you showed me how.
This video is so helpful I use this same ladder for work and I been doing it wrong the whole time but thanks to you now I know 🙏🏽
the video is informative and covers quite a number of important things one needs to attend when using a ladder. Thank you!
I have to get on my roof, so of course I have to youtube proper technique...especially climbing down....great details and info, Thanks!!
Good video mate just what I was looking for thank you for sharing
Great video. I have a customer that has a Little Giant and needs a skylight cleaned. You demonstrate very clearly how to extend and work the locking mechanisms and how to place the ladder for safety. I'm familiar with using older double-rung style aluminum and fiberglass extension ladders, these Little Giant ladders are something new. Thank you for your help!
Thanks for the steps of getting on and off the roof!!!
As others have said, thanks for showing us how to get off the ladder onto the roof, and vice versa. 6:38
Thank you! Very helpful. I occasionally do some work on my roof, and getting on and off the ladder is terrifying. This will make it much more safe.
Climb up, climb down, yea yea. Getting on and off the roof...Finally
Thanks, good basic safety video.
Thanks man i did even know that the ladder unfolded like that your my hero
great video, much thanks!!!
Thank you sir for sharing such a life saving information.
Portable Ladder Safety. Falls from portable ladders (step, straight, combination and extension) are one of the leading causes of occupational fatalities and injuries. ... Always maintain a 3-point (two hands and a foot, or two feet and a hand) contact on the ladder when climbing.
Thanks for this. I’m a middle aged lady partly restoring an old house. Your video is so helpful. I have no idea how to use DIY equipment safely, I actually bought the WRONG ladder. . Anyway, Thanks to your video and many other old guys/young guys Makin instructional videos. We are a lot safer. And note, there’s no way way I’m ever goin to attempt electric saws. I know my personal limits!
Hopefully no asbestos!
Thank you. Can you do a video on how to climb ladders in the rain or snow? I just got a roofing/ladder assist job and need all the tips I can get!
Thanks for you share the video, the ladder is useful for home work
I love this video thank you dude
thanks!
Brilliant ! Entire techniques of going up the ladder, how to get onto the roof and how to leave et the roof and get onto the ladder for the trip down the ladder. No one has proper video covering all of this even the PBS series ‘This Old House’! Guess those Bostonians never go on a roof. By the way my take on leaving the roof was tone with my back to the ladder holding on to top of ladder with my closest hand and moving closest foot to the opposite side rung but that doesn’t have 3 point contact. Thanks
Thank you
Thank you.
THANK YOU! this is the best video i’ve seen on the subject …im still terrified. i honestly don’t know if i can do it.
Well done.
Wish had seen somehow ladder and I parted company. It stayed up I fell 12 feet into concrete patio and got to me a lot of nice people in post op!
Thank you sir didn't know that... !!!
Thanks
You should be grabbing the rungs in the middle of ladder when climbing always. If your feet fall out and your holding the side your gonna slip. Also when getting back onto ladder you should always hold rungs not side of ladder.
How can you get anything (tools, paint, etc.) to the top if you're not allowed to carry anything up with you?
One more thing always/always look down when you think your on the last rung just to make sure.
Nice video however ... you did not mention most important procedure to set min. Max angle. That accounts for many accidents, Also there the procedure you described to “ hang on “ is the 3point of contact “ either I hand two feet or 2 hands 1 foot and so on.
What a sign of the times: this guy had to tell other guys not to wear sandals when going up on your roof @5:00
So, the ladder has to be above the roof line... yo! I could have killed myself today,, I put the beginning of the ladder right at the edge of the roof line and boy, was it scary climbing down...
nice video, but you never addressed what safe methods are used to carry up buckets or turbine vents, etc....
Throw it on the roof - - and hope it don't fall on yur head.
I don't know man. Seems like you flubbed at the most dangerous part. Didn't feel right at all. You can even hear the ladder creak loudly. 6:25 A heavier guy or someone who puts more pressure on the left hand or a slippery surface where the ladder means the roof and that latter is sliding left and you're off the roof! Seems like you should keep hold in the middle of the rung and not use the latter top edge like that.
third video ive watched and not one of these hamsters had the foresight to purchase a microphone. Fucking cant hear shit. Not rocket science.
