    Excellent footage, as always. Quick question: do you "burn in" brakes on new bikes? A half dozen or so high-speed, heavy applications of the brakes can help alleviate some of the grabbiness (if that's a word). Also, the 450's rotating mass may also be offsetting some of the 250's grabby tendencies.
    One more Q: have you tested identical bikes in different environments? I'm curious if your reviews may differ in areas closer to sea level and in tight, wooded confines.

      @chongorlz9716 2 года назад

      @@m3hsid10 I would think it would keep the back wheel on the ground more. Speeding up the rebound returns the tire to the ground quicker.

    • @yukonjon5964
      @yukonjon5964 2 года назад +1

      At first i thought it needs stiffer rebound in the rear, but you may be right. either way, its clearly not balanced between compression and rebound. too much motion for the terrain and speeds shown. how about... more low speed compression to slow the bouncing, less hi speed compression to help on the rocks, and less rebound to keep it from packing.
      maybe too, the stiff fork valving is messing up the rear action. its reacting to the front not settling in, so is squatting more at the back. if so, raise the fork tubes, lessen rear sag and put on a longer chain to get the wheelbase out another inch.
      I have really made handling gains by keeping the chain tensioner all the way back towards the axle stop, by using different length chains as they wear. makes the bike longer and puts more weight on the fork. Honda just shortened this chassis by an inch, so doing this could be key for all 22 250's, plus 21 and 22 450"s.

    The CRF450x has a six speed transmission. Maybe you could try one of those sometime. I can’t decide between that one and the WR450f. Either way keep up the good work. 😎

      I didn't realize they still had that transmission in that bike. I've ridden a couple of them in the past, but they were the carb versions of the bike.

      I honestly don’t think you need a 6th gear unless your dual sporting on street or in dessert over 55mph plus. Nobody I ride with uses or needs a 6th gear except when we ride our street bikes.

      @@shannonscott5788 there isn't much of a downside to having six gears so why not?

      @@scootypuffjr. I got the 2022 crf450x with vortex from TD and fmf and this bike has more power now then I need it does come stock all chocked up and restricted but the min you open her up and change the ecu and smogg shit it’s right there with the rx just has lights and 6 speed soon gonna get the stage 2

      @@robertlambert7906 weighs significantly more (30lbs) and the steering geometry is different so the R is alot more nimble vs the X. To fit the 6th gear they had to widen the case as well which probably isn't that noticeable if you just have an X but if you rode both you can definitely notice it. It's also based off the prior generation aswell so all in all I'd take the rx anyday and chuck a set of lights on if needed

    Hey everyone!!! Watch out for the stupid SCAMMER who uses Kyle's logo plus a WhatsApp phone number!!! They will say you have won a bike and later want money for a small shipping fee. Don't do it!
