Wolf Team was years ahead of its time on release. Even though I regret putting 1000s of hours into it, it was by far the best competetive FPS experience I've ever experienced. Maps were made so good I still remember them like the back of my hand. The clanwars, guns, wolves, even the interface and the menu music, it was so well put together! Softnyx had made a true masterpiece and then decided to take a massive corporate shit on it. RIP WT.

And it gave you a separate health bar when you transformed. That kind of dynamic is pretty unheard of for an online FPS game as far as I know? Plus it had good asymmetrical PvP modes like Wolf Conquest and Destruction S2 where the human team would fight against the wolf team. One online FPS game that did this before WT was Natural Selection but but as far as F2P shooters go, I can't really think of one.

Era um jogo muito divertido e ótimo de se jogar, acho que se a softnyx tivesse tido um cuidado melhor com o jogo, o marketing e etc... tinha tudo pra ser um jogo popular ainda nos dias de hoje, não jugo eles pelo "pay to win" pois era uma época em que os jogos ainda não eram tão populares como hoje em dia, e óbvio que eles tinham que ter algum lucro em cima do jogo então ou eles tornavam o jogo pago, ou faziam o "pay to win" de qualquer forma é um ótimo jogo e me marcou bastante, parabéns a softnyx pela obra prima!

It was a genuinely fun game even if someone is cashing (Power user/Gold box) those were harmless. Everything changed when they introduced the character item with different wolf abilities that goes along with it. That was the beginning of the end for wolfteam. Fuckload of items requires shit tonne of cash and people are buying it. The advantage gap between cashers and non-cashers is like the earth and sky. If you are not cashing then you're getting ur ass fucked. Out of nowhere koreans start to swarm in our servers with cash items and everything and that's when you know u need to just quit the game. Tbh i still miss this game pre-cash. 2008-2009.
Basically when the moment they start introducing tattoo to wolfs, is just went straight on to pay to win. A tattooed wolf gives many benefits but these can only be purchased via real cash. There are also a lot of items that can only be purchased with real cash but they do a lot better than most weapons.
