Turns out, the best melee weapon is a fire extinguisher, and it's filled to the brim with poly acid.
I'd argue a standard ama nettle is stronger

Chemist here, after the meds are made, I go to the bar but just order something non alcoholic cus I need to make MORE CHEMS later.
This gives me an idea for a razorium-acid-lube bomb. Just like momma used to make.
The reason why the fire extinguisher deals more damage when ypu are in their face because the game code consider the "spray" as bullets. For example using a shotgun close range is far different than using it close range because of the bullets spread
So in thoery, you have an improvised acid shotgun

I remember the old days when you could make a fire extinguisher spray 50 units of acid at a time instead of 10. Back then it could kill almost anyone in 2 clicks, especially considering that armor rarely had protection against acid that time
I have no idea what this is but it is first on my recommended

yeah, someone used a razorium extinguisher on me once after i lightly insulted them for not doing their cargo bounties. the ten thousand screams at once and instant crit had me cackling for 5 mins

@@zombiechibixd Splash chems do not care about internals. Only foams do... or at least they used to because razorium smoke seems to both inject and splash in this video.
@@thebadman6169 the only way to reliably attack nukies is by foam, but nukies have slash resistance due to blood red.

5:24 by the way, you dont need to swap hands for this. If you click directly on the character the fire extingusher will spray any reagent it contains almost without any cooldown
yeah, I show that later.
So the damage multiplication is probably because its much easier to calculate if something is in a line than in a cone, so the hitbox is 3 overlapped rectangles spread to approximate a cone, and the tip has all three overlap. You can see this by watching the particle animation. I would also guess that each of those rectangles has its own hit detection and won't proceed to hit anything else beyond the first target.

It seems that the extinguisher gives off multiple clouds that all apply their effects separately. For further distances it seems there is some mechanism that stops duplicate applications, but for closer ranges that mechanism might be defunct.
im starting to get the feeling you only make these videos so people will fix the bugs :P
Excellent video, just one question: how do you create these seemingly empty servers where you have admin powers?
The wiki has guides on server hosting, it's really pretty easy once you figure it out. You're automatically admin of a server you host (or can easily give yourself admin access)

Chem can make sulfuric acid too, it's just a super basic recipe and there's better
@@calebgoldsberry7403 There are 3 acids that do splash damage and sulfuric acid is omegabad out of the 3 and they already are very bad except when using for instakillish clickspam use with sprayers/extinguishers.

You can use the action in the top left or press 1 and You get he MIDI menu

How is a smoke grenade made?
I think it was potassium, sugar and.... sodium? Dunno about the last one but potassium and sugar are 2 of the 3, you dont even need a modular grenade tho, just mix 2 jugs inside your inventory
smoke is 1:1:1 potassium phosphorus sugar and foam is flurosulfactant and water

I love abusing this games mechanics for instant kills

Even thought it's most likely unintentional on how inconsistent the different types of damage are, it kinda rewards players who not only are willing to make the chemcial, but go the extra mile to greande it up in a smoke grenade instead of just lazily splashing it onto someone and calling it a day.
Also it rewards players who are dilligent and have internals on so they have at the very least a chance to escape even if they have no armor.

amatoxin grenades are quite deadly too , if person is fully healed and ingested a lot of amatoxin foam he is likelt to get 196 or 197 or 198 damage of toxin , meaning person wont able to be defibed
